This was great for my research. In my book series, one of the characters owns a Mango grove and I needed to know how her workers would properly pick the fruit. This video was very clear and instructive. Thank you.
I planted a mango tree a few months ago and its grown extremely fast because of the conditions here in South Africa. We get a good amount of rain and a butt tone of sunlight. It’s also quite hot which the tree must be loving. I’ll be having Mangoes by next summer(I’m in the Southern Hemisphere so it’s summer now).
Here in my country Philippines my Singaporean friends loves our mangoes we call them MANGGANG KALABAW...mangoes in Zambales are sweet...my husband Jimmy makes "burong mangga" its the unripe fruit fermented in brine...boiled water mix with sugar and salt...if our menu is fried fish our burong mangga makes a perfect match to our food
I'm from there , This kind of mango very sweet n no need salt or sugar we got this kind of mango n Luzon my aunt she brings baby mango tree I was a young boy there. Salamat
When I was young, I would climb mango trees for the fruit.. or after a heavy rainfall, I would go to the orchard and picked the fallen ripe mangoes, santol and caimito star apple fruits haha..
Now I know why the mangos we get in the market take nearly one and a half weeks to ripen at home and when you go to eat them they are usually black inside, our markets sell them very green, shame, maybe our supermarkets need to see this 👍🏼 thank you for sharing.
Looking outside my windows. Oh there are my mango trees, now starting to flower. Live in tropic, almost everyone plant mango in their backyard. And my mango tree could harvest 2-3 times per year (sometime in rain season all flowers fall due to heavy rain & wind, so the tree only produce/ harvest twice a year). And newest variety can produce fruit 1 year after planting

How does the sap damages the mangos ? We have a couple of big mango trees in our garden. We use to just eat them straight from the trees. I’ll have to tell the others 👍👍👍
Money to get pay for the work? Or for growing Magos? Workers really needs to get pay more. If they sale mango for .25 cents then workers need 5 cents per mango. 5 cents for medical insurance and retirement. 15 cents for the owners and expenses.

mangoes from australia, mexico sell - but honestly they are utterly low quality. try mangoes from india - esp dussehri - and imaam pasand - royal taste , aroma and flavour. of course they cost more
Why the cost? Mangos grows every where. And is a food. They should be not expensive. Dominican Republic have also many variaties. But not everyone is growing it.
Sod the blemishes on the mangoes. As long as the taste is as expected the public should be reeducated to accept the blemishes and keep processing to a minimum.
Plant seeds. Look for videos in youtube on how to make them fruit sooner and you will see your own mango 🌳 in a year... Is not hard and they do grow any where. In a Pot near the son or full son. They need a lot of water.
we call this apple mango because of its color,this is cheap here in my country Davao city.i Philippines 20 pesos a kilo unripe to eat jyst for local consumption .our Manga Carabao is the best sweeties mango it has soft creamy delicious textures.

You want ripe mangos, buy ripe mangos. The green mangos are used in other applications where its preferred like salads and other recipes.
