I was in Shanghai last month. The Rolex shop had an unbelievable selection. They had gmts , subs and even a Daytona. All two tone but all for sale. Explorer one and air king and a rose gold gmt all for sale to anyone. The only watch they said was for vip customers was a ss sub. The rest you could walk in an buy BUT the prices were ridiculously high. Rose gold gmt 60 Aussie, the Explorer one 10 and half Aussie. Only discount was tax at the airport. 9% I think it was. Was tempted but the ex 1 but didn’t buy it. But anyone cashed up and doesn’t want to wait or go second hand go to Shanghai .
Bang for the buck your milgaus is a great watch. I love the OP but the milgaus is probably a great option if you like the dial options.
Just thoughts really Same, except maybe I’d go Black Bay instead of Pelagos.
@@eyeheartsushi2212 I love the Pelagos for its look. I'm not sure it fits the bill for an all around first luxury watch. I am very partial to the 369 dial 36mm OP's. That is what I personally would do but given the options that the writer offered I say the Milgaus is a great option.

Explorer 1? Particularly known phor the lack oph a 1,2,4,5,7,8,10 &11on the dial.

First Rolex should be one that is available. Like a 3 hander. Explorer1, Airking, and Milgauss. Sometimes you can find explorer2 with a black dial. You may have to call a lot of places to find.

Nice video, I love Archabald but sometimes the less character driven Paul Pluta vids like these are nice too. For my money the Explorer one is best choice for a midrange Rolex. It's a beautiful design and has a little bit of everything. It's sporty, rugged, and dressy. Hope to own one someday.
