    Now that I figured mine out I love it.

    I tried discharging a 4S pack to 15.2 v (3.8 per cell) at 16 amps. It didn't work well. When I reduced the current to 5 amps in the discharger, the discharger worked well. It wouldn't take the pack cells down to 3.8 per cell, but 3.83 is okay and that is where the discharge stopped.

      Good info! The little chart in the manual says at 4s you can do a 20A discharge so there must be something up there. What i notice is at higher amps the pack will bounce bact to a higher voltage once the discharge stops. At low amps the battery does not recover as high.

      @@lawton70 I noticed the same thing at higher amp discharge, that is why I tried at lower amps and got a better result.

    Nice video. Wish they would have used female banana sockets, as everyone has leads for their flavor of battery connector. Would also be cool if you could select cell voltage (say 3.7) and it would auto detect cell count.

      Agree, with you on that one. I wish i could discharge a 1s lipo with the discharger.

      @@lawton70 Yeah. I’ve just purchased one of these recently, though, and so far I’m quite happy with it. I have one of those 400w two bank chargers that has decent discharge ability, but the discharge feature fried on one channel. I think I’ll use this one a good bit below max rated watts.

    So the BD250 is not capable of discharging a 1s ? I need to discharge 1s...

      I personally use this discharger for my 1s lipo. It will do 20A max and it is a little more confusing to use: www.ebay.com/itm/254139418323

      @@lawton70 Great tip thank you, are lipo and li ion the same? Mine are li ion ...

      @@elevatedsciencesllc8089 li ion are a different type of chemistry. Typically used for transmitter packs. They have a different charge voltage and cut off.

    Just got this discharge having trouble understanding some stuff. what should my settings be set at for a 2s 7.4v 5200mah 50c lipo battery for storage I would appreciate it if someone could help me? Thanks

    • @lawton70
      @lawton70  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A 5200 50c lipo battery sounds a little weak, so i would discharge yoir packs at about 10amp to start with, and to about 7.4v to about 7.2v. That would be safe for the pack. Once you see how the pack handles the discharge and gow warm the pack gets you could bump the amps to 15. That pack is about 250amp burst.

    Have you been using this to lower IR in lipos for stock racing? If so what discharge and charge rate do you use? I keep reading that 30 vs 40amp is not much of a difference…

    • @lawton70
      @lawton70  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will heat a pack at 35 amps. I think 40 amps became a defacto standard because the iCharger can do a 40 amp discharge.

    Nice, I have the same unit. Does a good job.

    It's only a discharger, it has no need to measure each individual cells. Your rc vehicle only draws (discharges) from the main leads, (imagine trying to draw 35amps from those tiny leads) hence that's all the discharger needs to do. Ballance chargers needs to monitor each cell.

    Your cooling fins are fatter than the one I just got today. Just a mention

      Maybe they are changing the design over time.
