this is super. This made my day. Here's a guy who doesn't have to do this. He obviously loves motorcycles. Listen people, He didn't say he didn't look like a dork riding around with Bono. He comes off down to earth and sincere to me. Its impossible to keep up with trolls online but I'm such a fan of this guy that I had to chime in. Motoguzzi= pure class. Just like Billy

My first Guzzi was in the late seventies, a 750 Sport.
Now i came back to Guzzi, a CALIFORNIA III and i love to drive this Bike. 2 Years ago i went to Italy, to Mandello del Lario at the Lake of Como. In September there is every Year a big Birthdayparty and you see there thousends of Moto Guzzi Driver from all over the World.
Next Year there is the 100.

Although Billy Joel is a talented musician, I never cared much for his music or for him... until now. He seems like a really normal guy, and I love his passion for Guzzi.

Well I tried to contact Mr. Joel thru several sources, with no luck. Wanted to let him know that there is a Moto Guzzi V7 Sport TR (The Michael Berliner Special). This is the Crown jewel of Tonti framed Guzzi motorcycle.
As far as I know, Yes, it's all his bikes and his museum.

The V7 is a fine looking bike, but unfortunately way to slow. 48 ponies doesn't cut the mustard if you wants to travel out of town - at least in Europe!
Make it with the 1200 8-valve engine and it would sell!

I'm sure he was just trying to be funny...but the chopper surely was not on it's way out when Easy Rider debuted. That in a way was the beginning of a long slow simmer with the boiling point coming in the new millenia. Billy must have forgotten about the crazies at OCC, Jesse James and West Coast Choppers. Hell, the Discovery channel made Choppers a household word throughout the early 2000's. They may be dead for now...but they'll be back. No I'm not a fan of choppers. I like this V7.
Too bad no one got the photo of two rich rock stars looking like dorks in a scooter asking for directions.
