She got the highest BB score during qualifications, team final and AA final at least year's World's but couldn't quite put it all together for herself in the event final when an individual medal was on the line. Here's hoping she can put the nerves behind her and get that individual beam Gold this year!

She really has great potential and I was sad her injury kept her from Tokyo. On the other hand I am also sad and angry at the same time of how team China is still stubbornly doing women’s gymnastics the ‘old and only’ way: underage girls with lean physique. Now Chinese beam routines are greatly dependent on the near-impossible connections. They are super joyful to watch when the gymnasts connect successfully but come with huge risk 😂

Yes the 'old and only way' cost them a medal and the silver medal at that at Worlds.

@@aliciamcdonald7105 I totally agree! As someone who knows how professional sports work in China, I’d say the system is totally broken.

@@erinhuang1563 Broken indeed. When you could be in second position at the beginning of the LAST ROTATION and fall all the way down to fourth something is really, really wrong with the system. The thing is, it has been so for a while and one has to wonder if these kind of 'results' is ok with the powers that be.
If they want to see China on the podium in the team final on the women's side in next years Olympics then they need to seriously rethink their strategy. If not then they will have to content themselves to only be in and among the medals in bars and beam.

So much skill but such less confidence. Always the case with the chinese on beam.
