Awesome stuff.... Question, I've been looking for Efren's ridiculous 550 + straight pool run he did for exhibition in the Philippines back in the late 90's. Bustamante has talked about it a couple times in interviews and apparently there's a recording of it. I've searched for this recording for awhile.... but other then a "150 and out" in a fun game and his 142 run against Siegel in a semi final match... that's all I can find of Reyes playing straight pool. If you have it... 🤞 could you post it?? Great channel btw, always impressive watching the GOAT in his early years.
@@李小強-m5d Thanks so much. Never thought of that. I thought it must be some sort of 'Asian" rule I never heard before. Seemed very strange to me. Now makes sense.
I think I seen the same guy do that against Earl Strickland. Earl complained of course. He told the ref the light is bouncing in to his eyes. And the ref let him do it.
Nice watching young Efren Reyes more than 30 year ago thanks TH-cam
Apenas cumplía mis 10 años en ese tiempo y el mago es ahora una leyenda GRANDE EFRÉN BATA REYES
😊
Efren " bata"Reyes is the Goat of pool.
Efren was really on his off game this game.
Admiro a efren por su juego suave. Y su sentido de ubicacion
Mr efren is one of the best. Thank you youtube
@27:40 What was the purpose of putting the cloth in the side pocket? Just Curious.
In Efren's prime, this game was actually just his C or B game.
10:30 I was surprised by the rule of replacing the fallen colored balls when the cue ball scratches.
2:58 best kick safe

At one point Okumura placed a towel in the middle pocket and shot. Anyone know what this was or why?
The lighting is reflected on the plate and it's dazzling

My pleasure, he did the same in 2000 US OPEN.

レイエス🤣…そんな風に呼ぶのは…世界中で、この人たちだけ😂
REYES = RE (レ)+ YES(イエス) レイズは日本だけ
Filipino slim could cream his opponents but he likes to make the challenge interesting. He doesn't care if he looses.
