@2:48. I think it has to do with the moonlight and barometric pressure. Those full moons are real, and the pressure tells them when a storm is coming, so they know to go feed.
quit guilting me into buying more shirts and hats...lol... i really appreciate your vids...I look on both channels every day. even the things i already know are very comforting to hear reinforced by your vids..thanks again.
One area I have torn B.A.S.S. up days after a rain is a midline where the water is getting clearer. That line for some reason is a place bad love, love, and absolutely love.
Have to comment about storms. Twice last year, I found what it meant by calm before the storm. Very eerie silent no birds no bugs no wind. I know now from those experiences that it is time to go. Cause both times a thunderstorm hit shortly after and I had to race to my car.
He's not wrong at all about being cautious with storms. I got caught out once, went to shore to seek shelter and then it hit and it was BAD. Decided to say fuck it and make a quick run for the dock due to how bad the trees all over were swaying, and right when I ran to my boat, a huge branch landed right where I was trying to take shelter. I literally almost died that day, trying to shelter from lighting while on a lake. I play it safe now.
I've been dying to get out to fish for steelhead but every time the river comes down and clears up some it rains again and floods. Ohio is so annoying! Lol.
I live in the northwest part of Washington State and my phone shows 50 percent chance of rain. Literally just about to grab some last minute tackle. Perfect timing gee wiss
The bite turns on due to the drop in the barometric pressure. This affects their swim bladder. It shrinks it and they feel hungry. With the high pressure it expends their bladder and they feel full and don’t eat.
All due respect, but that makes no sense. If you take a balloon and put it in a low-pressure environment, it expands because there’s less force pushing on the sides of the balloon. Opposite is true: take that same balloon and increase the pressure around it, and it will shrink because there’s more force pushing against the sides of it. Yes: The bite turns on when the pressure drops quickly, but not for the reason you’re saying it does. (Edit: Also, fish can regulate the amount of air in their swim bladders, so what you’re saying makes even less sense.)
Ohp… NEARLY said bass fishing HQ there! 😂 Man you’re grinding. Too many channels LOL I know how much effort that takes. You’re insane and I see the hard work you’re putting in. Keep it up man.
I actually felt my graphite rod buzzing when I was fishing and a small rain squall came over the lake for a short period. It was starting to get close and when I felt it buzz, I immediately dropped my rod on the grass and told my gf to do it as well. She hesitated for a sec before doing the same, but didn’t get struck luckily. I definitely thought my rod was buzzing but when I think back to that day, I often wonder if it really was buzzing or if I imagined that thinking I was about to get struck. Now that you mention that a buzzing graphite rod in/before/after rain is a telltale sign of lightning, I know I definitely did feel it buzzing. Scary…
I have a question it might sound a little scattered but here's a example of my question I live in northern California and it's been a lot warmer and it's supposed to rain soon even if the water temperature is considered to low for fishing top water lures because of the rain or fronts coming in do you think top water would still be a option regardless of the water temperature??? Sorry I hope this made a little sense lol 😊
Getting struck by lightning is extremely rare, however like you said when you get on an aluminum boat,on water with that graphite rod,you highly encourage the lightening God's to strike you down!
I'll be honest, didn't watch all the way through yet, but me and my pops each caught about 20 bass during a hurricane. I recommend not taking that risk... but yes, rain=fish
@@TylerBergerFishing Yeah I’m very excited to check them out. Their TH-cam Channel has put out some great content about the VLX debut at the Classic and it only has me more excited.

It was raining yesterday in virginia beach and windy I went fishing for 30 minutes from the bank and caught a 4.5 lb and a 5 lb on a brush hog
I live in the PNW so this is good info for when it stops raining……in July. 😂
Me too. Marysville WA.
Yalls summer and spring are beautiful though
Same here…..Grandview, Wa.
Same… Kirkland. Started fishing this winter, needless to say, skunked so far. At least I’m practicing my casts
West Seattle! I never fish there though.
It's going to rain all weekend by me and I'm itchy to get in the water. Thanks for the timely tips!
Same.... Not as excited as I was before the forecast but probably will still give it a shot! Tight lines and good luck.

I’m surprised there are not more videos on this topic. Preciate you for putting out the info.
Hi Tyler, is there anyway to get the bass hat with a soft patch vs the wooden patch?

Tyler, fantastic content. These are the kinds of vids I really like. Helps me think through strategies to catch more fish more often.

You tore up the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society? For shame. .
No. Idk how it was capitalized and dots got in there. I have torn bass up on mudlines after a rain. 🤣
Bass will hide in the middier water near the clear water waiting to ambush baitfish.
Tyler, great video. This is exactly the type of information I was interested in. Thanks.
Most of my best days at least for numbers is in the rain man summertime rain let’s go fishing
Excellent information thx 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great advice ! Thanks for sharing

Southern Oregon here and I 100% agree. At least I've gotten a couple bass to bite
I wish I could even fish, just too cold here in Michigan. Still got more snow on the way as well.

Does Barometric pressure make a difference?

If the water is colder, then I’d stick to something more like a jerk bait

Quite the conductive fellow. Eh? 😂
Been on the water twice when the line started floating and luckily got off the water in time
Where did you get your ikon?
Clemons Boats in Sandusky Ohio!
@@TylerBergerFishing That’s awesome. ikon will soon be the new standard high end bass boat. Hell it may already have that title.
@@bradclower they just released the VLX series which is also awesome and closer to Phoenix/Skeeter price point
@@TylerBergerFishing Yeah I’m very excited to check them out. Their TH-cam Channel has put out some great content about the VLX debut at the Classic and it only has me more excited.
It’s pouring rain outside and I’m waiting at the fishing spot for it to slow down😂
Why are there so many Tyler’s making Fishing videos😂😂
I caught fish on a sunny day just before the day its rain. After the rain I couldn't catch anything
Jump to the 8mn mark if you want tips on after the rain…. The first 8mn are interesting but why title your video this way, lol?
