  • Video footage of a Universal Studios Glamor Tram as it was called in the 1970's.
This video predates a tiny bit of later popular Universal film/rides, "Earthquake" [1974] and "Jaws" [1975] both of which later became popular rides on the tram tour.

I love this raw footage so much. There's no better way to time travel than to sit back and experience the ambient audio without edits and music laid over it. Thanks!

Yeah, the music absolutely unnecessary most of the time.

Such fun to see remembrances from Universal tram tours of long ago. Thanks, VR.
Refreshingly, there are no jeans, scrubs, pajama bottoms or booty shorts on any of the guests!

You can tell by the guests' faces that this was filmed before emotions were discovered.

Just curious why the person with the camera filmed the people so much in the tram and not the sights shes talking about...?
So interesting how the older folks are dressed so nice, the younger ones just starting to dress more casual, but still nice..

I’m wondering too but I’m glad they did it. Really the people are the thing I’m most interested in! What foresight!

Because the sights were the same pretty much every day. The people doing them, not so much.

I was just on the tour last week :) it’s changed quite a bit, I still remember the spinning
Tunnel you used to drive through.

I wanted to see that unbelievably exciting part of the tour when the tram stops in front of a small hill and about nine foam rubber boulders come rolling towards the tram.

The cops on ADAM 12 are always passing it (the Munster house) in a lot of episodes. I know because, even though the the show was before my time, I watch it every day now that it airs on FETV morning, noon and night.
