Keep up your good work. I appreciate your Videos about the 1.2 16V. Hope you will get more attetion, because the quality and the details are on point. Best Greetings 💯
Note to others doing this job. I would not recommend the BGA kit from GSF. The water pump I received seemed cheap and was faulty. I can recommend the SKF kit which can be purchased on Amazon though.
Does removing the crankshaft pulley affect the timing? I have a 1.4 16v engine. Thought I'll just remove the belt and get the screw out with a power tool, swap it and call it a day. Do I need to readjust the timing after?
So you are just looking to remove the alternator belt and the crankshaft pulley? If that is the case then no they don't affect engine timing. If you removed the timing belt you would need to worry about engine timing.
Shame it hasnt got air con, coz mine has, that made it a little more awkward than it should have been, plus no one has done a video of one with air con.

Good to know. I used the Dayco. People also report problems with the Gates kits.
Great vid! Are you doing a clutch change at any point? I’d be v interested in that.
If the clutch on this one ever starts to slip or gets bearing noise then yes I will.
