Phek:.The Chakhesang tribe, one of the major Naga ethnic groups found in the state of Nagaland, India, celebrated 75 years of existence at Phek town on (January 11). Chakhesangs are the former Eastern Angamis, now recognized as a separate tribe.,

Chakhesang, Angami, Rengma, Sumi, Pochury, Zeliangrong, Mao, Paomai, and Maram tribes are from one lineage. These groups of people are collectively called " Tenyemi" Family.

Just so you know, Sumis migrated from Chakhesang inhabited area (Kuzhami Clan). Which is why your "Sumi" language is very similar to my "Kuzhale" dialect (Chakhesang language). You can still find Sumi speaking village in the Chizami area of Phek district. Most of your Sumi elders are aware and knows about the migration of your Sumi tribe but are reluctant and have not passed on the story to the younger generations which is very sad.
Although there is no such written record about this but this information has been passed on by our great grand fathers through oral narration.
