Such inspiring motivation, makes me feel like I can conquer my cancer, God bless you
You can, don’t ever think that cancer can beat you. God bless you brother
You can for sure. Keep believing in hope.
Yes you can, and I’m waiting how you beat cancer all of us.
god is in your side. i will pray for you.
You will get well your in my prayers 🙏
People like Alex are on another level. The dedication, concentration, commitment the list goes on
What a remarkable achievement - to have done something that no other person has ever done, something that no other person will likely do again, probably something that no other person had ever dreamed possible. Truly amazing.
Really? Something of no value to nobody yeah sure what an achievement!
@@Pinhead101 it’s called fortitude, you wouldn’t understand
Siempre habrá alguien más fuerte. Pero cuanto tiempo pasará?
And then came marc andre !!
@@Pinhead101 how is what he did of no value ? he's inspiring
I don't see any other such physically and mentally exhausting task, where an error means instant death, so he had to beat that giant of a wall and that giant of fear in himself, beating the physics outside and the biology of fear inside, I think that's the greatest sporting achievement ever accomplished.
I agree. And perhaps one of the greatest human achievements of all time.
@@leonstenutz6003 great achievement by Alex but a surgeon doing a heart transplant is a much greater achievement.
@@TimesUp777 Heart surgeries are amazing achievements and they take place every day now.
No one in the world has achieved what Alex Honnold has. One does not diminish the other.
We are not in a competition here -- simply admiring extraordinary human achievement.
Only those who have been a few dozen feet on a vertical slab without a rope could fully appreciate what Alex achieved.
Heart surgery is the culmination of millions of lab work hours laid down by a countless army of research scientists and surgeons over a couple of centuries. Alex’s feat would be akin to someone doing heart transplants with just his hands and surgical shoes

The smile after completing the Boulder problem is everything
One of my favorite moments in the entire movie :)
he mouths '"fuck yeah" :)
The way he smiles at the camera is nothing but pure joy. Like a kid in a candy store.
Such an amazing young man.
Peace
This guy is the poster child for man with the biggest balls. The climb is not even a matter of him fearing death, as it is more of him conquering his limits.
5:35 that's the normal route where regular people use to get to the top. And if u think it's safe, there's an accident sometime ago after honnold free soloing the wall, even with the safety of that normal route has, it's still deadly, and as sad as it is, there's life at loss on that accident. So, people saying this man feat is one of the greatest achievement in human kind is an appropriate word, i am just shocked that there are lot of people who still don't know that this man exist and haven't watch the documentary film. Even if i already know he is survived, my heart just pounding watching he climbed the wall, can't imagine the documentary crew emotions, filming his friend on a documentary and knowing a mistake means death. Just kudos to all of them.
What athleticism. The physicality, mentally and emotional part of it, has got to be draining. What an athlete. The mental toughness blows my mind
OMG,you terrify me. Like pure terror. Well done.
Alex is a National Treasure.. absolute amazing. should be considered one of this countries greatest athletes.
He's a world treasure
The way Alex moves is very special. It’s almost like a dance. It’s incredible to watch.
A dance?
Dude I stumbled upon this channel randomly. These videos are works of art man. I wish TH-cam prioritised content that takes this much effort. Truely well done bro 🙏🏼
More than your amazing climbing, you doing this alone, including your consistent writing, has really inspired me. Thank you.
The full climb should have been an extra feature on the Free Solo DVD. Such a shame they only included about 20 minutes of the climb in the movie. All that great footage and we'll never get to see it all. Same with Half Dome.
The camera crews were only set up at specific spots. They filmed the spots where he was most likely to fall.
People should realize that he doesn't just free solo walls, he climbs them multiple times first, with safety lines, and maps out the best possible route to then free solo when he's confident and ready.
A lot of people think that he just
blindly climbs walls without preparing
or mapping his routes.
He's *NOT* a dummy.
kinda, he was a dummy when he climbed half dome with less than a day of experience
The dummies fall
He explained that.
yea, most people think he flashes routes
Alex Honnold is unbelivable and amazing he touched the stars and went back!
My hands get all wet when I see this kind of stuff... they crazy to play with their life like this...
Alex. If you ever see this, please never do anything like that again. You got nothing left to prove. Your an awesome dude and you inspire alot of people. Time to just kick back with FREE SOLO KING status. I still can't believe this was actually done. SUPER HUMAN HONNOLD
Its a testimony of what humans are capable of doing with a lot of training, a pure mindest and focusing on being succesful inestead of fear which would consume much energy and limits your way to a goal
This guy is in a special category. He knows his limitations (and those limitations are at a super high level of ability) and his quest is about life, and not death.
God bless his soul, you gotta love Alex Honnold. One humble fun loving dude.
110% well said 💨💘🏞☀️🌊👏
All this persons will die to early, see in Wiki, anyway good performance!
@@murxermurxer2518 yet people will remember him. Greatness lasts. Mediocrity is forgotten.
Soli Deo Gloria !
Absolutely incredible! After rock and ice climbing with a friend a few times at Ice Fest in MI and rocks at Red Rock in NV and Kentucky I have so much respect for climbers, you guys are freaking awesome. I'll keep doing it any chance I can, so much fun.
These 30 seconds of the best day of his life are straight out of my nightmares. 😅
My hands are sweating just watching this
How to reach such level? I somehow can comprehend the physical performance (somehow), but I can't fathom the mental one. How to be so focused as to not make any single mistake, while your whole life depends on the friction between your fingertips and a tiny surface of a rock? And I understand even less how to overcome the fear of falling, imagining that your life may end in an hour, a few minutes or a handful of seconds from now.
Mastery is not the right term. There is no word for it. Immense respect.
Palms got mad sweaty watching that damn
That moment where he began to tire while doubting whether the wall would prevent his right toe from slipping near the top of Half Dome is the stuff nightmares are made of. It's amazing, what he's done. I hope he quits while he is ahead.
I wonder how really afraid he was at that moment.
Almost beyond belief that a human being can Free-Solo El Capitan as Alex accomplished. I still can't wrap my head around it!
@revolutionsendtimeschurchhow many same comments are u gona type? Whats your problem
This man is a living legend. Every time i hear even his name, my palm sweats.
Literally my heart is beating out of my chest from the beginning to the end of this video..
So strange ain't it
This guy is crazy!!!
Literally the most awesome achievement from a human being in my lifetime.

I've been following Alex Honnold for a long time, and I'm always impressed with his achievement, he's incredible
“But on the day it didn’t feel scary at all , it felt as comfortable as a walk in Yosemite park “ climbs el cap without a rope
It is the greatest sporting event on earth, salute to your determination, dedication and what not... simply simply the greatest
Congratulations for the hard training, perseverance and positive attitude. Thank you for being in direct contact with the most extreme nature.
'...that kind of concentration for that amount of time and the penalty being certain death.' Alex Honnold is something else.
Alex is the type of person that can make the impossible possible if he puts his mind to it, whatever that captures his interest.
PLZ MAKE MORE OF THESE! We need you more than ever JER FILMS
As a child I climbed trees, allso without branches in the lower sections holding myself with my fingertips to the grooves in the bark and scaling buioldings via the rainpipe. Especially the sport hall of my elementary school, to get to the pebbles on the roof for my slingshot, but now I have developed terrible feer of height especially ladders, but I really remember how to climb trees where there are difficult sections to get from one branch to another. As a child I allso knew exactly the difference between different kinds of trees, in an oak a twig of about an inch thick could hold my weight, if I put it close to the stem, but with poplar trees you need at least double the thickness. The toughest branches I remember was hardly a tree, Hawthorn, some trees near my school did not have branches the first 4 meters so we climbed in hawthorns, to reach for the first branch.
Wow !!! I am speechless .Bravo
Alex is a composer, composed his route then orchestrated it.
This is a very well put together video! I love how you used so many of the different clips and audio to make something new
Ennio Morricone at the end was perfect.
A demonstration of commitment to the seemingly impossible task that is broken down into small individual steps becomes possible. Intricate planning and execution make it possible.
Hello young Master...so glad and grateful you are here with us...

This is one of the best videos of Alex sharing his experience!
No doubt. I’m sorry, there is no human equivalent to that experience. I watch it agape. That kind of mind is just amazing
this video is like the summary of all the videos of alex that I've already seen ... great stuff! 😂
When I listen to what your going through in the sketchy areas, i start to get sick to my stomach! And iam only imagining iam in your shoes!! What you do is unbelievable and unimaginable to almost the entire world population!
He’s just wired differently. Amazing what he does.

crazy mindset, perfect executed mission!
I love this guy. He has something I'll never have, and Im pretty sure I don't want. His self confidence in his ability is so off scale I can't even comprehend it.
Breathtaking!
Amazing! My hands were sweating like a mofo watching this, lol...
The most inspiring thing I’ve seen in this world I want to take this shit and apply it to everything in my life
Visualization is really key to reducing anxiety and improving success.
That's correct. I have visualized many times how to be able to watch this video without being terrified and today I mastered it!
Gymnasts do it a lot. In the Olympic and other competition videos, you can see the gymnasts pantomiming their routines, moving their hands and shoulders, while waiting for the judges signal to begin.
I really enjoyed watching your amazing video! Thanks for sharing!
Taking a year off to think. Smart move.

Taking a year off to stay alive!
LEGENDARY.

Dude I enjoyed this more than the movie! I really just care about the climbing and his mental preparation and process. The drama with the woman thing is his personal life not the world’s…such great behind the scenes with this video! Great work man!
Love it! Great story of man vs self. No opponent more difficult!

Awesome video man ,
Amazing video. Loved every bit and the editing was fantastic. Better than cable.
Truly Amazing.
He makes the climb look like a 'walk in the park'. Amazing achievement.
What an amazing climber and person.
this is the greatest athletic accomplishment in the history of mankind
Great accomplishment by Alex but I don't know if you can call it an "athletic" achievement.
Nicely done, thanks!!
He tamed the fear is probably the most sensible thing i would say. Atleast for me who always tries to run away from it.
Awesome Achievement, Congrats.
Legend
Still hard to believe he free soloed El Capitan... Swear if I didn't see it 3 times in the theater, I'd had a hard time believing ANYONE could do that. Wish I owned it I'd watch it now, again. Great movie, one of the best documentaries ever and in the top 2-3 ever made on climbing. Honestly it's #1 in my book. Looking forward to running into him in Red Rock Canyon one of these days. I'm 52 and would still fanboy out, haha 🤣
Amazing 👍
Mis respetos Señor...saludos desde Perú.
Amazing!
I've trained hard just to watch this!
Amazing work, came here from the TH-cam short!
