Everytime I listen to this song, love, faith and death comes to me. The fear of love and lack of faith in God. But He tells us to put our hands to His, to hold on and believe because he is there for us. That's why maybe at the end of the song, it says don't be afraid and sleep tight because we are on His arms, if we believe.

Watch korik's blog about that. A band member just thought it up and they just went with it cuz they never had time to make up a good title for it.
It was originally titled the proposal and 214 actually means Valentines not "am i real".

"You'll Be Safe Here", an EP by OPM band Rivermaya, featuring the song with the same name which was first used as the theme song to the 2005 ABS-CBN TV show Spirits. It has 2 music videos where the 2nd music video used an advanced technology that translates the lyrics of the song. This song was also played at the 2006 MTV Asia Awards. Rivermaya was the only Filipino band to perform in the awards show.
The song reached #1 on the Philippine music charts in its release and currently, two years after its original release date gained popularity in Asia and is slated for a European release.

Rico Blanco wrote 214 when he was 18 years. Old. He is the original keyboardist of the rivermaya until the vocalist Bamboo left the band. Then Rico became the lead singer of rivermaya

you know what i love about this song? it's one of those universal, always relevant songs. this one was released in the mid-2000's (can't remember the exact year) but i was in high school and Rivermaya along with Eraserheads (and some others, the booming 90s Filipino bands era) have been such impactful OPM (original pinoy music) artists in my teenage years :)
