Hell Let Loose should add actual shockwaves and overpressure that affect your screen/vibration/vision. Shit fucks you up and the explosions at 3:30 would render you disoriented as fuck if not to incapacitate you. Not saying they should make it impossible to play around explosions but make it more punishing to be in proximity to them.
It used to suppress you people could spam arty and the defenders would have a hard time even if the arty was directly hittin them. Suppression mechanics were so much better before they changed them.

The amount of FPS lost during bombing runs is actually a feature!
Yeah big explosions should make your ears ring and disorientate you but if a bomb lands in front of you and misses you, you're still normal and can carry on running. It should make your ears ring, run slower and vision impaired for at least a few seconds
This game looks so good, so polished and the attention to detail with the sun reflecting of the water looks so realistic. The devs have done a great job!

Hell Let Loose is so good but by the time a match ends I'm 2 years older.
Yeah matches are quite long, in warefare you should be allowed to set the round time to like 30 mins rather than being a ddfault 90 mins

@@ceaserknk6640 It's definitely hard until you learn the maps but people's aim and reaction times are pretty poor in this so if you play other FPS games you'll be fine.
@@ceaserknk6640 Even as a veteran player I expect to be shot by someone or something almost immediately tbh. As long as you get a bearing where the enemy is coming from, you just take it foot by foot until you see the enemy, but I will say using comm's or at least playing as a squad within ur own roles makes the long matches worth it most of the time.
Just started playing and medic and tank commander my favorite roles always loved hearing thanks medic after having a tough day getting a little boost in moral
not many people play medic but they are so important. So thank you, random medic, you make the community better.
It shocks me how few people want to play as medic. I guess even in HLL people want to pad their KDA over team play. I love playing as medic for the same reason as you, it feels fantastic to save a downed mate and hear him say "You're the best, man!"
Medics the sort of role that’s rarely vital but can just improve things a little bit and sometimes that’s enough to keep the cap going
I always prioritize reviving guys that shout 'Sanitäter!' when playing as German...

You die so much in this game that it's actually sad to imagine being in actual combat during ww2
Part of that is playing it like any other shooter. Once you learn the movement style and are able to guess enemy positions it happens so much less
And the Russians are coming out soon, I tested them on the PTE. Its pretty awesome.

Wow, that score. Damn. Some battles the indirect fire kills me more often than I can get kills.
Sounds like they really nailed that aspect of realism, i can't remember where i read it but apparently a majority of combat related deaths in WW2 were due to artillery.

That map ! I was often stuck incapable of moving forward (water) and I drowned so many times.
Note : in HLL, OP are destroyed as soon as you get close to them (no grenade needed).
Post Scriptum use to be my go to, really liked the more mil-sim WWII experience but Hell Let Loose has been getting fantastic gameplay and content updates, and the upcoming Axis vs USSR did it for me. Despite the more causal community 50v50 on the eastern front is not something I can say no too.
Also this game is full of life and more potential unlike Post Scriptum unfortunately.
You hit the nail on the head. P.S. is great, but with no new content in so long, dwindling player base, removing certain graphic content...it's really hard to find reasons to play P.S. anymore when the alternative is to play a game that has a huge player base and regular updates.
I just hope to my last breath that one of the Eastern Front maps is set in Stalingrad. Oh man that would be awesome. Imagine 50 peaple trying to assault the Grain Elevator or Memayev Kurgen. Just crazy.
@@Rumpole1000 I think one of them it's confirmed to be in Stalingrad. If i'm not mistaken they announced two maps: Kursk and Stalingrad.
@@AugustoHeavyMetal Yes I was just reading that. There will be multiple Stalingrad maps focusing on different parts of the city. Pavlovs House, Unimag, Train Station and the Grain Elevator. So bloody excited I can barely contain myself.
I like HLL but it's too COD-like for me. PS has excellent team play.
good audio makes 75% of the immersion but so many or most of the games still seem to lack it. I've been wondering this for years and Tarkov has gotten the furthest :)
Also, this game's explosion effects are extremely top notch as well.
The sound ain´t bad in hell let loose but post scriptm has even better sounddesign imo. Sadly noone plays post scriptum
@@obscureus2561 I have PS and stopped playing it. I didn't feel very immersed in that game. I am beginning to think that HLL is more immersive. Also, I remember the first time I played Squad while being pinned down in a corner while enemies came and killed me, gave me a sudden case of PTSD.
The audio in this game is hilariously bad, WTF?
You have to try Post Scriptum. The Artillery is literally giving you PTSD. HLL Arty is also brutal.

@@WARxxECONOMY definitely takes some time to learn. Like any fps map knowledge is key. Being able to extrapolate information about your surroundings through vision, audio and friendly positions we'll help greatly in your experience. Rule of thumb is there is always someone less valuable to jump that fence first, haha.
I like it but there's too many solo csgo players. Makes it really boring and frustrating to play. Struggle to find a squad so get stuck with nothing. I suck at commanding too but I do it from time to time. sometimes I just create a squad and tell people do whatever you want lol

Wish I could play this game, bought it and it runs at 20 frames a second on the lowest setting.
Try watching a few hell let loose performance improvement videos. They helped me a lot
They will probably tweek a lot of things regarding performance on the next patch this month . People who played the PTE say they had better frames

With maximum 5k daily players , i should say meh
So I just happened to be the MG in the trench....
I think what HLL does best is the moving shadows - you see movement in distance, but then the enemy disappears so fast from cover to cover, what you can do best is to shoot the approximated direction of the enemies.

There's a lot of 82nd airborne that need getting kicked. Plenty of those guys I've played with and they are absolute cunts
the volume levels of the in-game audio chat should be modulated according to distance to players. If you're more than 10m away from each other, you literally can't hear the other guy.

I have anxiety and don't use a mic. Any chance you any of you guys could ask the devs for a separte chat box for your sqaud, seperated from team chatter. I can send out info through chat. But it gets lost in the greater of the chatter amongst the team. Just an idea. Feel bad not using a mic, and not having my messages not be able to be relayed to my sqaud im in. I'm never commander or whatevs though. don't worry. I know ya need a mic for that. 100%

Is this a problem with specific hardware? I'm running it on a gtx970 and an i7 4790. It's running waaaaay smoother than I expected (playing it in 2k as well, but with resolution scaling on 70%).
@@lanfielanf3889 I think the point is the optimization is so terrible that there's no consistency with the quality of your system. Ran alright on my 2060. Garbage on my buddies 1660s and garbage on my new 6700xt. If it's good for you then run with it.

To those who've played it: how good is the cover mechanic? I appreciate the variable height scrolling, but I'm worried that left-right leaning is just...janky digital on/off left or right. With no analogue sensitivity (like the height scrolling has). The best system I know, is the free-lean in the old MoH, and current Wolfenstein games. Next best, is Far Cry's contextual lean, that allows you to bend over OR around cover. Not as good as the former-as can't use sight-lines, it's only triggered by physical cover nearby. Battlefield has a clunky, unreliable implementation of that-but it's better than the crappy on/off lean console R6 Siege players get.

Probably u have the voip bug thats been plagueing the game for months.
To find out if u have the voip bug keep pressing c (the button to talk) if it dissappears ( means if its no longer showing up after 5 or more seconds) That means u have the voip bug.
I have a mid range pc and run this game 1440p 144hz fine you don't need an i9 10billionk and 3 3090's to play it christ, just an i7 and a 20 series graphics card and your good

Honestly I love this game, the community is so helpful and funny it’s amazing. It’s so brutal, literally my last game we were pinned down all behind a wall and I just watched my pal get cut literally in half from an MG.

Look at the ground level and LISTEN to gun shots.
Be very patient and you will see the enemy. You really have to take your time and push up slowly with your team.

I really want to buy this game, but every time I’ve played during a free weekend the performance has just been horrible. You only get about 30 FPS for the first several minutes after joining a server.
Could not play this game without setting the player over head markers to be visible at max range. Team kills galore.

Small bump and you can't build or drop anything..
Maybe game developers can provide historic fact where soldiers had to use shovel or weed the grass before putting small ammo box..

aiming in hell let loose is 90% luck 10% skill. For some reason its a hard time aiming, and I've been playing shooters for over 15+ years. But when you die it feels like the guy that killed you is an aim god in some situations. but that's just me

I tried to play this game the other day, 4k in high settings but the graphics seemed blurry... not sharp? I don't know how to describe it but wasn't impressed. Need to give it another go I think. Hvae they made it so tanks can go through shit yet?

I'm thinking about buying this but i'm scared there wont really be anyone who wants to communicate so i'll end up running around on my own.
Buy it mate!! You will have games that lack communication, but overall my experiences are great! Just had some outstanding games with absolutely amazing teammates and commanders this night. I mostly play officer and actively try to communicate with my squad and other commanders. It is a bit intimidating at first but absolutely worth it!
