Can't fault the advice, my crestie pounds crickets (dusted) every time but barely touches the fruit mixes (and I've tried a lot, repashy, Pangea, habistat, Komodo etc.) added a little honey to Pangea banana and Papaya and boom! The whole dish is gone! Hopefully a turning point and I can finally stop worrying about the little shit 😂

Two weeks without eating isn't that bad actually for a gecko. You can always introduce new flavor gecko diet to your gecko by placing a drop of the diet above his nose, he will lick it and realise that's a eatable food.
I hope that's not thier only diet it's not a complete diet harsh love a healthy gecko will not starve thier to death

Took my ghecko 2 weeks to start eating on his own but one night I checked on him and saw him eating I was shocked but happy he’s now settled and started eating
My gecko wouldn't even touch the zoo med he just went over and pooped in it XD guess he didn't like it

Thomas Pinter you can mix a little bit of another food in with it and then add more of it in each time so it can used to the flavor

This video is very helpful I got my gecko about one and a half weeks ago and he has been on repashy complete the plane recipe at first I started putting drops on his nose and he loved it but now he's getting quite tired of it I give him crickets and I'm starting to think that maybe he's just tired of the flavor because I know he's eating crickets and still has an appetite so most likely I will order a food on Amazon or Pangea and try out maybe some Pangea try some different flavors just to see what his favorite is

I have a pair and they are very picky I always make sure their cage is clean and they have plenty of room
I thought it'd be cool to like blend 2 flavors instead of just giving them a whole one flavor AND my gecko likes it dry

I just got my first reptile, I’ve been around reptiles my whole life because of my dad owning them, but damn getting a baby gecko to eat the Pangea is tough 😂, I had to finger feed the Pangea to him but god forbid a cricket walks in front of him, he will chomp that fucker down 😂
I have mine for a 1 year and 4 months and I give her 2 flavors..for the past 7 months and currently she has not been eating..i mean she has to be since she is still alive..but im always checking on her to see if she is physically eating or if by the next day ill see if theres proof of lick marks, but these 7months I haven't seen anything
Make sure food is the right consistency, also maybe mix in both flavors (if they are different colors and split it, so that if the food looks mixed, they’re eating
you really inspired me i am 11 and i have a crestie and i want to breed them and do what you do also my crested gecko wont eat the previous owner only fed him insects and i tryed diet but he wont eat i tryed pangea and rapashy
My crestie eats the Pangea food just fine, but I can't get him to eat crickets. If I'm using the complete diets, is that a problem?
It's not a problem, but geckos tend to grow a lot faster and bigger by eating insects with complete diets. I have a gargoyle never touch any insects at all and eat pangea(papaya) only. It grows twice slower than others, but he's doing fine.

Hey guys my crested gecko has been REFUSING to eat. And today I noticed when I was examining hi is one of his nostrils looks totally plugged and he's breathing weirdly. I have no vet near me that can help.. what should I do?

Hey! I have a crested my little man slash, i weigh him every month as i do all my geckos. February at 1 year he only weighed 10 grams !!! March gained 2, April gained 2, and now he remains at 14 grams meanwhile both his sisters are at 32 and 35 grams. I gutload crickets he loves them I keep food in multiple feeding stations for him at all times I know hes eating because I monitor him daily/every other day. Could this be a case of failure to thrive? Or is it normal? He stools are fine as well. Hes not a picky eater, he'll eat crickets all day. Could it be the start of mbd? I plan on taking him for a check up next week.
How's the gecko doing? He should be ok as long as he keep eating and pooping. BC geckos have their own growth rates.
another good tip is that you need to space out feedings, a lot of the time people feed too close together and the gecko is eating too much and then eating sparsely I feed adults every 3-4 days and babies and juveniles every other day. I usually feed my girls more because I like to dust crickets in between feedings.

Excellent. You who are a great breeder, do you think there is a problem of expiration in the pangea pap? In the bag says two years without opening, once you open the container one year in the fridge ... And then has the expiration date on the package. I do not fit the numbers hehe. I recently bought two bags of pangea, one large and one small, and I have only two crested gecko
I have a picky male Crested Gecko that refuses to eat live food. I've tried crickets, dubia roaches, even tried removing the head of the cricket and offering them like that. Still nothing. Now his weight is fluctuating. It's winter here and the temps outside are all over. Mostly cold. Anyways my question is , do you have any tips that i haven't tried to get my picky gecko to eat live food? or is it because its colder outside and he just has a lower metabolism.
nailz92002 this happened to me too. I take the head off the cricket then try to get at least the leg into the geckos mouth. Once that happens they chomp on it
Ooh I have the same with my gecko. Here’s what I did. I tried feeding wax worms which is especially good if the weight is fluctuating. And try not tong feeding try putting it in a bowl hanging in the tank. I know I’m probably late but whatever.
I have 6 mornings geckos and no mater what I try I can’t get them to eat crested gecko powder diet. Is there a secret or a trick to get them to eat this stuff?
I just got an African Fat Tailed Gecko at an expo. He’s four months old. I was under the impression that he was captive bred but I’m starting to suspect he may be wild caught. Can’t get him to eat. I know they’re mainly insect eaters but would it harm them to try the crested gecko diet? Just worried he won’t eat.

@@jackdehoog5985 well they probably still have parasites, but eat on themselves mostly but since corona hit and my vet is 30km away from me and I don't have driving license and there is 0 degrees outside there is no way for me to get them there :(, but they are doing better I'd say

I have two Geckos, one is a bit skinny but fine. Eats everything i Give to them, insects and fruits. She is eating from my tweezers or even fruit from my fingertip. The other one is in a very good shape but if I try to Feed him he is mostly running away, even if i'm moving slow. If I Give Up and drop the Cricket he instantly catches it so that means apetite is there but i don't know whats the Problem. I never hurt him or Something else. The previous owner Said thait it was the other way around with him. Any tips? I don't know any more..

What brand do you use? Be careful only feeding crickets that leads to MBD.

@@SakuraFanBoy try pangea insects mix. Mine only eat that one. Literally just that one and i have tried repashy and other flavors but they only eat the red pangea insect mix

I have 2 crested geckos and all they'll eat are crickets. Is it fine to just dust the crickets with vitamins and feed them that way?

You have to gut load the crickets for about 3 days before you give them to your geckos. Captive breed crickets are not as nutritious wild ones.

I would keep offering a few crickets once every couple weeks, just to see if it will eat them. If it won't, no worries.
My gecko will NOT eat anything else! I have a variety and he refuses to eat anything but Pangea D/G and watermelon mix and once a blue....honey.

Jack and the derby boy this is gonna sound rude to the gecko but stop feeding live. Only put in cgd. Its necessary for their health. Your gecko will protest it but eventually get hungry and eat it. Only feeding live can lead to metabolic bone disorder. Also my gecko really likes the pangea with insects and the big fat gecko diet. You can try that.
