I don’t think he is hated in the same way that guys like Burfict or Suh are hated, but I definitely think some Colts fans are extremely upset you retired and they got Rivers and Wentz to replace him

The manner that it happened in too must have been crushing to them. Guys like Megatron and Kuechly retired early but after the season. The Colts were left trying to figure out their QB situation with just a few weeks before the season started
Andrew Luck is genuinely a great person. He would congratulate guys for sacking him. The front office completely failed him and the injuries were taking a toll on him. He had a lacerated kidney at one point. I think the fans that booed him were confused and upset and most likely regret that decision. I would have loved if he took a year off and came back but I still love Andrew Luck to this day.

While it is true that Andrew Luck upset some people with the way he retired, I think any hatred of him was temporary and is now largely forgotten. Barry Sanders retired in a similar fashion and it upset some people at the time, but now you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad word to say about him.

I honestly don't think Luck is hated by the colts. Sure the retiring was not a class act but if you feel your body cannot take it anymore you'll have to retire. I can understand the boooo's but they still loved him in Indy

@@cokesquirrel there was a 30 for 30 on the 85 Bears and they talked about this. Payton also fumbled on the opening drive which allowed the Patriots to take a 3-0 lead. He didn't have a good game because The Patriots focused all attention on stopping him, this opened up things for everyone else.
