Zedsushi on the diamond team had ZERO respect for the golds LMAOOOO. Spawn camping them with Lucio, frontlining with ana. And it worked!
I think I ruptured something from watching the Lucio passively scooting around on the ground and the Junk holding that ult like it was the one ring to rule them all.

compared to other roles i feel like the tank role is where you get punished the most for bad decision making, which is why theres such a big skill gap within tanks between ranks, and also why alot of lower elo tanks aren’t climbing
@@armando5994 just started playing tanks and I definitely agree. However they are also so damn fun too lmao. Bullying dps or support in 1v1 simply because i have more health is so fun

Another possibly interesting variation would be to have Jay coach the lower ranked team. Either some brief pre-game coaching on, say, what team comps to run and how to run them, or give them in the moment coaching during the game. Could Golds beat Diamonds with some coaching maybe?
I was SCREAMING for Junkrat to use his ult. 🤣🤣 he could’ve made a huge play with it.

yep, they are still golds, they were kited/staggered around a lot then got confused and didn't know what to do for a short while, that's def gold players right there lol.
The moment people can get better is when they finally realize that they are still lacking, and I hope that they do.
“stuck in elo hell” actually means you’re not good enough to hit higher ranks, it’s an excuse
Probability wise given how many players are playing OW2, given that some players don't play many games, it is likely that there actually are players who are in elo hell or elo heaven.
Of course they could get out of it by grinding enough games

I don’t know… I was stuck in plat for a long time, didn’t really get any better and now I’m in masters. The only difference was my teammates became less retarded over time and the games actually got easier.

I’m a gold who plays with diamonds since my duo partner is diamond/plat. I noticed there’s not that much difference between dps in these ranks but a diamond tank is a massive difference.
Idk, I’m in high Diamond and I see so many brain dead tanks
pretty much the opposite in my experience, a good hitscan player will farm way harder than a good tank
People would say in the OW1 days that a good dps has the most carry potential, while a bad tank has the most potential to drag your team down. In other words, you're more likely to notice a good dps or a bad tank than you are to notice a bad dps or a good tank. Obviously, scoreboard and tanks being reworked to function more like hybrids than main/off tank makes this less true though.
There’s an astounding difference between a gold and diamond dps
If you play dps it will also give the team lower rank dps to match you

It’s crazy that these diamond would get dawged on by masters and it would that one res at around 6:00 I believe that got hard punished right there when they got that other Rez on ot with the LifeWeaver the masters would have shut it down just the same. Just kinda crazy how different skill level or whatever the different ranks have it’s insane.

Low rank ults have 2 sides. 1) holding for big plays 2) afraid of using ults and not getting big plays and getting flamed by the team.

I’ll never understand bastion players and Junkrat players ult usage. Why the hell do they use it BEFORE the fight in lower ranks? Just wait until the fight starts and then it will be 10x more effective! That drives me crazy, and it’s my pet peeve.
They waited WAY too long to use their ults that first round to take it back, they should have immediately engaged with beat then started stacking ults to win. Whoever said to use beat defensively made a bad choice (defensively against what?) - all they did was allow the diamonds to get ult charge back while they tiptoed around.
What is that lucio lmao. No rollout walk on floor and so little speed.

Honestly this was the best series hands down. Really shows the difference between ranks. I was so confused why I was not climbing until I started playing QP with all my GM and T500 buddies. Then after around 5 months of playing QP with them I decided to Comp. I went from gold to diamond 2 in less than a day and the diamond games still felt slow and easy and still climbing.
It really shows that playing in a higher paced game with friends who are significantly better suck at first (you get rolled/ called out for being shit) but eventually you start picking up the pace and really holding your own.
at what rank people stop picking moira as primary? serious question...

I try to hold my ult for ult comboing. It’s just easier to win since one ult is easier to counter with another ult
It really depends. For example dragon and grav. You can easily build 2-3 dragons before you have grav. Some ults are also good to just solo ult someone like emp. If you get one kill you already win most fights
Yeah it depends on how close the ult you’re combining with is. If let’s say you have your tank ult but dps or support isn’t close but you know their enemy support has ult, it’s good to sacrifice yours for the supports to use their ults

Gold's ult timing, executing, and counter-picking are just worse in every dimension.2nd game Brig against shotgun and explosive burst?? Kiriko-ana would work a lot better counter hogs, pulling cleanses, deny anti, and strong heals. or even pick Mercy-Ashe with the main heal looks stronger. Ofc the movement and res timing is other skill issues. I don't really understand why picking Brig against sniper and Hit-scans. No dive at all. Also, your tiny shield broke just charging in
Maybe they don't understand the game's momentum enough. They have so many opportunities coz dia make a mistake and can punish them but they don't take it.
Brig is a niche play and works only a few comps. Mostly works for anti-dive and Moira doesn't give any util but only great heal and sucks dps. just go zen for flex heal and take other main healers if needed. Coz dia has no dive champion. Moira just sucks in many ways. I only play Moira if I feel f*** up.
1st round Lucio plays gain 0 impact. Lucio heals is not worth it just change if gonna play it like that

My opinion: if you are gold and think you deserve plat, you may be valid in your opinion and be in ‘elo hell’. This may be because although you are better than your rank, you aren’t good enough to not only cancel out your teammates mistakes, but also make plays. For example if we use an arbitrary system of ranking performance in a game, where 0 is average, - means bad and + means good, most players will be at 0 if they belong in that rank. However, in a lobby you will have a couple - and + players. It may work out for you that you have a - player but you are the + player. Lets say the - player has a value of -10 and you have a value of +5. This means the overall performance is still -5, so not enough to win a game on average. Opinions?
If you really deserve a higher rank, say diamond but you are in gold, you are probably pulling in +20 a game, which means not only are you
Compensating for your poor teammates, but also can make plays for your team to win.
Kind of explains why support is the most elo hell and tank is the least. The max + you can have with support in metal ranks (unless you’re mercy is not that high) on average. Tanks carry.

enemy team has chance of 5 players being bad, your team 4 if you are better player, you will always climb if you really deserve one rank higher, just not ultra fast or hard carrying every game, also why would plat be +5 and diamond suddenly +20, its still just one rank difference, doesnt make any sense, honestly most of this doesnt make any sense. Also i think the reason why so many supports struggle with climbing so much is because they are used to bad habits like just healbotting so they make climbing 10x harder, they are basically playing every support as mercy, heal and dont make any aggresive plays by themselves

What I was saying was that if you were to have the ability of a diamond you would have a bigger impact let’s say +20 than a plat +10. It’s like how when you see GMs do unranked to gm, they destroy easily. They are so good that their teammates mistakes don’t matter.
What does elo hell mean?
Elo hell is the idea that even though you are a good player, your rank is low and you're playing with bad players because either your teammates are keeping you down, or the algorithm is broken and not given you a fair shake.
