I suggest read the canon story to find similarities

This film made Mercy's line "Heroes Never Die" into a more emotional and meaningful one. It brought tears to my eyes since the line was inspired by her father who died when she was a child. In the last scene, if Mercy looked mad and said heroes never die with tears coming out too (because she was thinking about her father), then it would make the line even more powerful. But overall, I love it since so much work has gotten put into this and it all paid off. Hope to see more like this! ^_^

As someone who works in the film industry myself, I can tell you that this required a lot of efforts to make. I don't know anything about the production, how it went and how much money they put into this. But what I can say is that this has a lot of potential. -The story is really strong and, as someone said, really contributed to develop in an excellent way the universe around Overwatch and Mercy (this "Heroes never die" origin story would actually fit so well in the lore). And just for doing so in such a respectful way to the characters and fans this video needs a lot more recognition (as much as the french rap battle that was highlighted by Blizzard). -The technique is really doing a good work (it could be better, but still very impressive), the lights and contrasts between flashbacks and "present" are doing a fine job. -The effects are pretty nice. -The acting was ok, the actor sadly were a little too inepressive at some moments (though the flashbacks were well acted). To the creators, producers, director, technicians, actors ... You guys did hell of a job ! You can be very proud about this. This deserves to be seen in Overwatch's highlights. Thank you guys.

Good camera work, nice images. I didn't like play of actors, Mercy was pretty emotionless (the grown up Mercy) and looked like trying too hard to be cool. The father was okay, a little bit strange haircut. Widow had too much lipstick, looked like she was dead an hour ago and became a zombie just to shoot some people, maybe softer color and a better contour needed. I like how soldiers acted, especially the trooper that was shot to the chest, but all of them a little bit under played when they were revived. Costumes were nice/okay. If you did it on almost no budget, all that I wrote are just notes that you might look into on your next project and you did a very good job. If you had some substantial money, then more polish needed. Would be really cool moment if before or after memories of her father, Mercy cried or was looking sad-inspired and revived. More emotions would be nice. Overall: image and father/daughter carried the movie. Good luck in next ones!
Bro chill out..I believed that it was pretty good as is, but they were just saying some things that would make the shortfilm even better than it is. Then, it might get even more popular. They never even said that anything was bad about the film. It's not like they're flat out saying that it was awful and sucked, they were just giving some creative criticism and that never hurt anybody.

I guess it is hard to speak german without accent, especially when you didnt learn the language over a certain period of time. But i have to say, that this is the only thing i can criticize.
