    I think it'll still be several decades before we ever have these in the air. It's not just about making these, it's about people learning how to fly, governments coming up with an effective way of managing the traffic, safety, routes, crimes, and finally, making these things affordable enough for the general public. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like.
    Edit: There seems to be a general consensus that these must be automated, although it's most likely, I still believe the pilot(s) should be trained to operate the vehicle in case of e.g. system failures. Could this method of travel be used as a sort of taxi service in the early stages?

    • @jonanddy
      @jonanddy ปีที่แล้ว +12

      not really, "flying" it is not like a plane where you have to go through several hours of flight training. I'm sure it'll be like when cars became a thing, it'll be quick to learn. the only real issue would be air-traffic control, but I'm sure that won't take decades either.

      @jonanddy with my very limited knowledge in aerodynamics, wouldn't it be difficult to make flying "cars" that are sufficient enough to run on fuel, let alone electricity, all the while allowing for easy maneuverability in air? I mean accounting for wind, mass, weather, and other unpredictable conditions. Again, I'm not very knowledgeable in this, I'm just thinking out loud, but it just seems it's more complicated than most people think, and costly.

What if a fly driver decide to take off because he's frustrated of traffic and another flying driver decide to take off too, and he hit the first flying car? 5.)
