The 105 is a beautiful lens. Your pictures came out excellent, especially the portraits. When stopped down a bit the lens really shines (I bought one for my Spotmatic in 1974).
    Thank you

Totally agree. Wide open it produces…interesting…results. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ It isnt bad but it also isnt great either. It is a “look” that some people will enjoy though.

I have the 135. Really like these older lenses. Some of them I think are best in black and white.

That is a fun focal length for portraits. I had a 135mm years ago and it was really cool. Thank you Hassan!!!

Lens looks good stopped down a little bit. I always enjoy your photo walks. I would love to see a few videos of photo walks with that Leica 50!

Great video and neat lens. I think having some medium fast short telephotos plus a 200 would be a fun combo and inspire more creativity than today’s 70-200 beasts.

Definitely! The trifecta of zooms has made gear kinda boring to me. I enjoy shooting primes and I think it shows here. Haha. I do have a few zoom lenses but I normally don’t use them. Well said!

If you can find one, give Zuiko lenses for old Olympus cameras a try. Would be interesting how it holds up against the Nikkor or Asahi lenses.

I have heard they are phenomenal as well. I have never owned one though so maybe I will see about locating one and shooting on it to see. Thanks George!👍📸

@@davidsaylorsI have a Zuiko 50mm f1.4 I got a OL to Z adapter for $20. The 50 takes really good images. I just might look for an Asahi 50 and do a lens test.

Hi David. Nice work with this lens. I've got 3 of these beauties so far and I'm not done yet! These are my favourite lenses to use of my Z5. I'm thinking about the Nikon 105mm f2.5 AIS lens so I may pass on this one. I know you've used that Nikon lens previously. How do you think it compares to this Super Tak? I own Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 35mm f2 and the 6 element 135mm f2.5. They're amazing. I also own the almost infamous 7 element 50mm f1.4 Super Takumar. I can't recommend any of the 3 enough, although the 35mm can be a pain in the bum to focus as it's got a short focus throw. Once you get it, you've got it! Thanks for sharing this. Happy Memorial Day.

I can't compare any other brand lenses than Nikon (because I don't have them) but I pretty much got most of the Nikon old lens line up. Their 105mm 2.5 I find to be very, very nice. Picture outcome and handling. Try the older version; AI or before that; the aperture blades are curved and give a nicer out of focus bokeh.

I would say the 105 f2.5 is the winner here. It is legendary at this point. I will probably get another since I foolishly let the last one go… All of your glass it epic to be quite honest about it. What a selection!!!

Can you do a review of the nikon nikkor af d 70-200mm f4.5 5.6?

Wow. That is awesome. I only have a couple of pentax marked lenses myself. Most of mine are the asahi glass to be honest. It is all wonderful.

Those 105mm lenses are tricky. I have three different 105mm Nikon lenses. All of them have the same quirks. I can focus on someone's left eye and the eye will be out of focus and the mouth area will be in focus. The pictures can be sharp but the 105' lenses have personalities all of their own. They require extensive use in order to get accustomed to how they work.

Yep, I saw that too. Cool render though so it is worth the effort. You put it so much better than I could have too. Thanks!
