Bill Ward and Vinny Appice are two phenomenal drummers with their own instantly recognisable style. Iommi was lucky to work with two legends keeping the beat.
Imo anyone that says this is boring or average know nothing about feel! I can listen to a vinnie play anything because he has feel, attitude and groove all done very powerfully!
I'd like to ask those that say it's boring or average, "How many records have you been on, how many thousands of people have you influenced, and how many concerts halls, stadiums, and arenas have you played in"? I'd say the answer is ZERO.
Can we talk about his drum tech for a second and the sound man? First of all, holy s*** that's a big kit and that's an amazing crew. That's all I'm going to say❤❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯
Vinny stopped using all of his upper level toms because of back and shoulder pain. I think I saw that in MD. I’ve seen pictures online with his basic set up. Great performance with or without those extra drums. 👍👏
Wait!! Before, when you write exactly the same comment for every musician, you said 'Cozy is the world best heavy metal Drummer in the world' and now it's Vinnie - have you changed your mind?
@@Frip36 Not because of that. To achieve that speed with one foot is impressive. A lot of drummers will use double pedals instead of building single-kick speed. Nicko McBrain and John Bonham are great examples of single-kick drummers who can get incredible speed and precision. Often times having certain restrictions can lead to more creativity. If Bonham used two kicks it would definitely have altered the grooves he put down and it wouldn’t be the same
Vinnie there's only one comparrisson: Nicko... I know you're buddies and love you... Bless mr. Padavona. he'll always be my master... :/ U R The Best!!!
Victor said it right ..... His brother Carmine does the same thing..... Well it doesn't make your playing that easy but Carmine says its easy to spin your stick or twirl your stick between bars.
They always go in with a deal that noone can put down. They just want to be seen, I guess. Seems like that with many drummers in the limelight. Also, they do not make the best drums in the world.
@@TonyT007 ooh yeah tamas are great sounding, never got to play them myself yet, my favourites are sonor, the sonor vintage series kits just sing like angels, i agree all a matter of personal taste
Stupid drum set to appeal to the masses. But Vinnie is a great guy and can play way better than this. This is just one of those...I gotta do a solo "solo" I love his playing but this doesn't reveal what he is capable on this night.
Me encanta este hombre, sin embargo creo que los solos no son su fuerte. Me parecen sosos. Tocando con el resto de la banda es donde se ve más su gran poderío.
That is the point...... To serve a tiny propose sometime one needs a bigger things....in the end they serves the propose..... Why a drummers should be ok with 5 pieces kit only while Pianist hv 88 on their disposal?!
+Pearl vision - COME ON, the man has a lot of talent, exales drummership and is performing a gig you would never dream of playing, right? The solo is full of energy and the crowd loves it (it seems). Maybe you were expecting some new flourishes, whats wrong is the representation some people have of music and NOT his solo. My honest opinion.
Simply compare this solo with solos many other drummers. I love Vinny as a drummer but this solo seems like show and not the real drummer solo. I think it is because of his age, it becomes difficult to him. It`s my opinion.
He's old! He's always favored power and brute force over technique. His dull and primitive playing is the foundation on which the many, many drummers he influenced built their careers. You could say the exact same thing about Phil Rudd and Charlie Watts. But if you ask any drummer, Phil Rudd, Charlie Watts and Vinnie Appice are drummers that many younger drummers emulate.

💯👍
Also Bobby Rondinelli. Ward is a overrated drunk.
Great drummer. Timing, groove and hits hard!!!
Vinny Appice is my all time metal rock drummer's 👍

Love Vinny one of the most musical drummers in rock
Never forget his drum solo on Black Sabbath's LIVE EVIL...impressed me much!
Stadium solo for the masses. Vinny is an absolute top drummer.
Awesome vinny rules
Him and his brother are power drumming machines 😎🤟🤘
Bonzo and Vinnie are my favorites drummers ever...true art and feeling for that instrument...
Then Copeland , maybe
But this is real joy to me

Good news for his drum tech
YES, YES, VINNY🎶it’s FIRE🔥
I was there!
Gawd these fucking drums sound so fucking good, i wish there were more videos on it and his wood finish monster kit 🤘🏽
Vinny Appice is the world best heavy metal Drummer in the world.

Killer drum set all around
is that a drum kit or a nuclear power station!?
One of the greatest of all time
Superb ❤️👍
How does he do that he's amazing
He’s a single-kick drummer too, in case this solo wasn’t cool enough \m/
Why is single kick better? Cuz not as flashy?

Meus bateras preferidos Vinnie Apicce e Vinnie Paul
You got the power!!!!!!!!!
Vinnie is a dn good drummer. Very underrated.
I went to Guitar Center to buy a 10 bass drum drum kit and would you believe they didnt have one?
His kit sounds so amazing
This was awesome to watch dude!!! I s u b e d
LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get always so nervous when he grabs that gong stand and it starts swaying back and forth 😮😂
Solid!
love how he accelerates on the snare

Mostruoso!
This solo is better with the volume turned up!
Jozzzzzzzz
Did he use every single tom, cymbal, cow bell and bass drums, rides, crashes and his Iphone?
can i take it for a few seconds in our local tv, in Spain?
🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🇮🇩
Italian pride 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Dw sounds amazing the way the toms bend
And the wet sound of the bass drum flat bend
Iommi... Appice... Italian pride 🇮🇹
And DIO!
Iommi is Greek. Sabbath is basically a Greek band.
From Jhon Bonham's drum part
Impressive..but why does he hold the right stick between the second and third finger?
It is an Appice thing
Victor said it right ..... His brother Carmine does the same thing..... Well it doesn't make your playing that easy but Carmine says its easy to spin your stick or twirl your stick between bars.
Heavy hitter
Played with Sabbath and Dio. Enough said!
Wacken?
Dw dumped him after Dio passed...shame on them

never knew Quentin Tarantino played drums this well
Carmine has a better Rhythm
quantized.
Could be better than his older brother. One kick. No singing. A drummers drummer.
too many air stand toms only for solo?
