In German you don’t write 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc, you just put a point behind the number so 1. means first because they’re the first football club from Kaiserslautern. Same with Köln for example
German clubs having a "1." in their club name refers to them being the very first football club founded in that particular city/town So, "1.FC Kaiserslautern" means "the First Football Club of Kaiserslautern"
regarding the first category: The Bundesliga was only established in the mid 60s. Titles won before that still count tho. Fürth has won 3 in the 20s, but there was no east or west germany back then. Their rivals, 1. FC Nürnberg (same as Kaisersalutern, the first Football Club from that city), have won 8 'old' titles (also mostly im the 20s) and 1 Bundesliga title im '68. And would probably have been nmbr 11 on the list. Both teams currently play in the 2. Bundesliga, but there were times in the 20s where the german national team consisted only from players from these 2 clubs. They are neighboring cities and there is a deep rivalry to this day (check out Frankenderby, played over 260 times). One player actually had to switch clubs bc he married a woman from the other city.
As a German and the biggest Kaiserslautern fan in the world I can tell you the "1." before FC Kaiserslautern means they were the first official football club in town. Quite common in Germany as 1.Fc Köln or 1. Fc Heidenheim and many more have it in their clubs name.
I hate that I always miss the stupid köln in 78. Btw the ones before Gladbach where Nürnberg, the best team in the world EINTRACHT BRAUNSCHWEIG, 1860 München Abs those are all the Bundesliga winning clubs
Random category idea - 2 players that share a surname to play for the same club (Joe & Ashley Cole for Chelsea, Dennis & Luis Suarez for Barca, Gonçalo & Sergio Ramos for PSG) Maybe add No brothers / parents to keep it tough
@@LukePingu Harvey & John Barnes NUFC, Fraser & Sol Campbell for Spurs, Eric & Luis Garcia Barca, Bernardo & David Silva MC, Robbie & Roy Keane for Celtic. Marcus & Darren Bent for Charlton (unsure if they’re related) It’s a toughie that’s all I’ve came up with since the Wigan Tenable question about an hour ago
I think you should have not accepted the answer for Bulgaria, Dimitar Mitov has no official matches for the national team, he just debuted in last matches for 2023 but they were all friendlies. He is in the squad for the next friendlies at the beginning of June but most probably wont play!
Bro Eric makes me feel like ive never even seen a game of footy
Eric has an insane memory
Eric is unreal ain’t he, could watch him flex his ball knowledge all day
1. FC Kaiserslautern comes from 1st being spelled 1. in German so it's the first football club in Kaiserslautern (or at least they claim it)
tenable and it's versus Eric, what a day to be alive.
That "Nein" joke was incredible
🤣🤣

What I was about to comment 😂
@@jsimmos8844 I’m surprised that Eric didn’t know that tbh
you came up with an english player with the initials JB for the 2nd div & below internationals question and it wasn’t jude bellingham, amazing
In terms of facts and pure knowledge, Eric is the best in the scene by a distance.
Tenable is always such a jam to watch
🔥🔥
Time and time again, the ball knowledge here is outstanding!

Ah thanks

Nice vibe in this vid and the little edits are nice too just helps taking it in
Fantastic episode, love when Eric's on, you two make great content
Andy Robertson could have worked for the second div or lower sides because he came from the Dundee utd youth who are in the championship in Scotland
Queens Park actually, who are also in the Scottish championship. Dundee United signed him from them

this guy is absolutely fucking insane with his football knowledge

Great knowledge🧠🧠
5:55 wasn't David Villa from Sporting de Gijón academy? Or is it only active players

might be tough

Can’t believe this is the 10th one I thought of after more than an hour… R9 & CR7 🤦
I believe leverkusen are know as the spurs of Germany. They’ve come close quite a few time
8:41😂😂😂😂
Oh when I saw Eric’s last tenable come up 😍😍
Erics football knowledge is unbeatable
Erm Eric didn’t Michu come from Real Oviedo ???? Wouldn’t that have worked for Luke’s question as he had 1 appearance for Spain ???
Great Tenable video as always Luke! Thank you once again❤
He’s talking about the same guy twice for Demetriou
Was confused with the Southend United Demetriou, who has caps for Cyprus
Andy Robertson came through Queen’s Park academy who are in the Scottish Championship
Not saying Bellingham for that second div academy category is wild to me lol
16:18 "always in the euros" :'(
Martinelli came from lower leagues in brazil and is now an international
Wasn’t a fan of being reminded that Shaun Maloney managed Hibs during this video but other than that good video
🤣🤣

Just happy my local team yate town got a mention
🙌🙌
Oh yes love a bit of Eric.
🙌🙌
It's because they were the first football club established in their city
We Leeds have an incredible academy, wont be long before Archie is in the senior England squad
scored against former club is so easy, how Luke
the annual exeter mention 😍
Was al habsi the keeper for Wigan ?
Joe Allen actually wouldn’t have worked for the second round as he’s retired from international duty
I was thinking most obvious England one at the moment would be Bellingham right
The point behind the 1 is the german way of writing 1st. So 1. = 1st
Does Pedri not count For Eric’s first question?
Greuter Fürth was definitely not in East Germany 😂
How does pingu now so much
Ivan Toney from Northampton Town 👞
Salah scored first game of the season against Chelsea didn’t he ?
Eric is secretly AI
🤫🤫
God video og fedt content du laver
🙌🙌
God vs God ✌️
Didn't do Norway...
😭😭
