Another fantastic review from you. No other channel (even Japanese ones) got so deep and thorough, and don't so without being boring or devolving into uncomfortable perviness is absolutely note-worthy. Ritsuka's design was already appealing to me more than the other two, but your review pointing to the changes made me finally pull the trigger. Just ordered her for ¥4,590 (HLJ currently has a 10% coupon for anything in stock, THANKYOU2108 valid up to the end of 16th). Considering my previous experience with Kotobukiya quality (handscale Frame arms Girl kit) it's a reasonable price. Thank you for your reviews, I'm sure your hard work and dedication will pay off!
Thank you so much:) I noticed the other Japanese and Korean reviews seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by how much stuff there is to cover for her, even though she doesn't seem that complex on the surface And yeah, sadly a lot of them chickened out and masked their anxiety with jokes or pervy tangents Ritsuka certain deserves so much better as such a well-made kit on a beautiful design, and in a unique product line:)
The plastic looks really nice on this kit. I think Kotobukiya makes some of the best female model kits out there. While I haven't built these, I've built several Megami Device kits and the detail, proportions and accessories are great.
They really have built up a ton of experience, not just in sculpting beautiful and realistic girls, but they're really good with mixing materials and textures. In the model kit realm, they're at the top of the game in this area
Really liked this review, way more informative than anything else I've seen on the Sousai Shoujo series. Have you ever considered reviewing Frame Arms Girl or Megami Device kits?
I want to review Frame Arms Girl kits for sure especially when they've gotten quite a bit better since the early kits. Megami Device I kinda like to look at too, though I think I'd like to review Frame Arms Girl kits first. Nothing scheduled in the pipeline though. someday...
@@HobbyClubhouse Very much agreed, a lot of the earlier kits looked extremely simple, although after the urging of a friend I bought a couple of kits from 2021 which look to have a lot of potential. Unfortunately these kits probably need seam removal and touch-ups to really shine so I've begun to learn that process proper. Unfortunate that you have nothing planned but hopefully one day. Cheers!
Really wish it had come with a right eye closed decals, I wanted to do a both eyes closed grinning face. I assume it would look bad to try and invert the decal right?
I've been meaning to change lines for my anime girl figures from figma to something else from the inflating prices. Though I like robots and anime girls I'm not too fond of the robot girl model kits from experience helping my friend build his Frame Arms Girls and the ACT Mode Mio Shark Girl. The pricing for this line is pretty competitive in comparison to even figures in the 1/12 scale so I'm really inclined to grab this one. I really appreciate the in depth look at this release, the first two releases didn't interest me but Ritsuka for some reason caught my eye.
I think Ritsuka ironically is more interesting to many people because she's less like a normal real-world girl that the line wants to do. Looking at online discussions since release, people seem to share your sentiment and there are a lot of people who only bought her and not the previous girls. I haven't kept an eye on figma prices for a while now, are they really that bad? Bandai's Figuarts line seems to keep costs under control quite well, but they don't usually look as nice for female characters
@@HobbyClubhouse Anime and Kamen Rider releases on Figuarts stay relatively affordable. figma on the other hand doubled the prices in comparison to 5 years ago now being around 8800 to 10000 yen. Their value proposition is also a bit of a mess with most standard releases only coming with their trademark accessories, increasingly more common DX releases are being announced where the standard edition feels like extorsion usually only having a single accessory (the rerelease of the Bloodborne Hunter coming with a whole arsenal, Demon Slayer characters with the extra effect parts, and Nadeshiko from Yuru Camp with a majority of camping gear). Their line of figma Styles is pretty okay being sold as a base for parts swapping and customization, and it even includes soft goods for clothes which can be bought separately but the selection currently has nothing that grabs my attention.
@@HobbyClubhouse the eyes which seem like they are following you.... I dont remember the correct term. It is seen in the figure rise labo fumina if I remember correctly
Hmm definitely looks good but im still a bit hesitant to spent 50 bucks on just a regular highschool girl figure. I do like this one the best of the ones released so far. If they wouldve had some robot armor attached I'd be all in though hahaha. The scale is also a bit of a turnoff to me tbh. 1/10 doesnt seem to be nearly as common as 1/12 so you cant mix/match with much different stuff (by which i mean just putting things of the same scale together on a display haha not kitbashing or anything) Thanks for the video once again ^^
I know exactly what you mean, when I reviewed Madoka, I though they would somewhat work with 1/12, but they look like NBA players. It really is a shame they're closed off from the sea of wonderful accessories (which I suspect is exactly what Kotobukiya wants) And yeah, the price tag is quite shocking and actually puts Ritsuka in competition against some of the best kits you can buy both from Bandai or Kotobukiya themselves I wonder if they'll continue the line after they're done making the summer/winter variants...
@@HobbyClubhouse Whahaha yeah the nba player remark is spot-on! :p And youre probably right about them doing the scale slightly different so the only accesories that would fit would be the ones from the same series. They probably went a size bigger instead of smaller so they could charge a little more too haha. I kinda hope one of these kits will end up selling badly and end up priced down significantly so I can still check one out without dropping too much money on it :'). I mean, if there werent already so many other kits i like coming out id probably go for it, but theres just too many other awesome kits for me to be able to justify buying one of these at full price.
Just realized that most anime girls don't know that pants exist... Plus what kinda of school would allow this type of uniform. They're just begging for people to look under their skirts
You'd be surprised how this style of uniform is actually far more common in girls' comics than male-oriented ones. But yeah, the skirt length is quite impractical...
1. Uniforms with skirts were, and still are required for female students in majority of middle to high schools in a lot of east Asian countries, especially Japanese. It is slowly changing but schools without uniforms aren't the norm. 2. On top of uniforms being required, there are also rules to be followed, skirts has to be certain length, shirts tucked in, no accessories, etc. So a lot of students would refuse to follow in defiance and dress what they like with the required uniforms, shorter skirts is one such example.
I got mine Pre-ordered from HLJ. Can't wait to build her once she comes in.
Good thing you did, or else the next shipment won't be until November. It's a really lovely kit and I bet you'll really like it!
Superb! The comparison of these three beautiful girls is so on point! Thanks for ur video, now I want them ALL! lol
I was just reading your previous comments and exactly wondering if you'd see this review too because I think you'd love Ritsuka too:)
Just got mine in yesterday and cannot wait to build. Got this one and the noble rose. Your video review is excellent and well informing.
Thank you so much! Ritsuka is such a wonderful kit, she makes it easy to do a great review:)

I bought the noble rose version of ritsuka as well as the original version.
Her uniform looks really nice in the noble rose version (it fully embraced the waitress look). The lavender tone of the hair is great too
The Kyomi review got taken down...
huh did not know how much such a on the surface simpel kit hade evolved
Yeah they've been quietly making updates hidden under the surface:)
Great review! I just picked up the limited rose edition
The color on that uniform looks so nice, I was really tempted to pick one up myself

man, i wish Koto is allowed to handle some of Sunrise/Bandai's properties, imagine a highly articulated Gigi or Sayla or Dianna with these standards!
I'd buy all three on your list and add to that: Roux Luka, Allenby and freaking Hamon Crowley. If only Bandai and Kotobukiya joined forces...
Gundam is Bandai official.

Hm, might need a bit of help, what's tracking eyes?

They are called doll eyes
This is my first model like this. I hope I don’t mess it up 🥺
I hope it went well for you! The hair parts can be a bit challenging for a starting kit. Check out my hobby knife tutorial, I think it'll help ;)

If I get one, perhaps I will re-paint her hair
I love the purple hair on the alternate color kit, and I've seen a lot of repaints in black too
I do love her look and design but I'm not fond of the shades of color.
Skipped koyomi, not into her looks and i think shes kinda boring.
I am getting a ritsuka though~
I like Ritsuka a lot more than I expected before I got her. She really is easy to recommend:)
Stop thinking that people are embarrassed to own these model kits.
