Wow. This is totally mind blowing. I have read and heard about many cases of ambush from militaries around the world but never had found such a case where the ambushers were ambushed back. In other words the hunters were being hunted down. That my folks is Indian Army for you. 🇮🇳🇮🇳
Well, the difference is that some ambushes are near the target. When you are the ambush party and you are near the kill zone you can maximize the effectivity of your firepower and neutralize the target in a matter of minutes. This example here is an ambush that the ambush party is far from the kill zone and they were not able to maximize their firepower and even gave the ambushed troops a chance to outflank the ambush party. I am not downplaying the heroic feats of the Ladakh Scouts but we also have to put into consideration the mistake of the enemy.

There they rested for a while. In those days travellers used to stuff straw in their shoes for warmth. One of them took off his shoes and some barley fell out of the straw on the soil. They covered it and continued their journey.The next season when they came back to the same spot they were surprised to see that the grains had sprout into huge fine barley plants. Since the incident occurred in the handang brog was a matter of surprise - an unexpected event. In local language one meaning of handang is amaze or wonder. Here the incident of sprouting of barley plants was not intentional and amazed them. They were also surprised at such fertility of the soil of handang brog. Hence the name handang and brog means settlement. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Jai hind.

Being son of a war veteren from Pakistan army i respect and admire the bravery of these men as they fought for their country just as Pakistani army during kargil fought for their country and to protect Chumik glacier in Siachen which was the basic cause of Kargil war as Pakistanis came with a plan to cut off they supply line to Siachen so Indian army wont be able to carry out the operation in chumik glacier.
Pakistan wanted to invade Siachen. What land u are talking about? Siachen was is and always will be ours. And ur army is a looter organization. Draining and selling Pakistan down to China. Do they even know what it means to fight for ur country?

I was in Kargil at time of kargil war met couple of Ladakh scouts they were angry with atal ji as he has stopped them to cross LOC had they been allowed they had so high moral they were sure to reach lahore. They made fun of pakistan army by telling the army which cannot hold post at height of 18000 ft should home and hold ropes of cattle.
I follow world politics closely. Clinton basically threatened Atalji with consequences if Indian troops crossed LOC. (Sharif had gone to Clinton and begged for mercy. Said I was completely in the dark, Musharraf did everything). The PM had to make a choice. Crossing the LoC meant full fledged conflagration.
