Sparkle being possessed by her mask into a sort of realistic puppet, turning from human to puppet, while preventing herta, a puppet made in likeness of a human, from ruining her paradise of control. You did a wonderful job conveying the rush of emotion Hala, I love the tempo changes and slower melancholy parts while still maintaining a subtle hint of mystery and intrigue the viewer feels throughout the story! Love love love your honkai star rail work, and if this is the piece you're starting the new year off with I can't wait to see what you'll release next!

I hope you're throat is okay, i know there are ways to safely scream-sing, but wow, the sound was everything! I also really adore this as a retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I think my fav aspect about it was Puppet Herta finally making it out of wonderland and finding The Herta. It parallels the actually ending of Wonderland (Alice getting attacked by the playing cards and waking up from her confusing dream to her big sister shaking her awake). Just like in the original story, Alice/Herta seems to mature or reach a sense of enlightenment here once she reaches The Herta and awakens from Wonderland. I feel like it's really easy to make a surface level Alice in Wonderland parody, but this felt very intentional and unique to me! I seriously adore your song writing, and the animation and artistry on display here was an absolute highlight of the hoyofair for me! Thank you so much for blessing our eyes with this beautiful piece 😌
Adding Rappa in with the genius society is a decision i didnt expect, but certainly adore. And sparkle as the villain fits in too well. (except by lore it should be a history fictionologist but we only know gallagher and hes too chill.)

I genuinely do not understand Sparkle's lore. People keep acting like she is this super evil powerful and important entity. But in the game she hasn't really done much of anything yet? (As of where I am just having beaten Sunday.)
Well... it's complicated. But if you watch all the official hoyo videos that feature sparkle, that should give you a rough idea. For a spoiler (for Hi3, not HSR): There are only a few characters who have crossed these two verses. 4 to be exact (AFAIK). Welt, Void archives, Sparkle, and sampo. And Sparkle is the only one playable in both. She had a fight with one of the characters in Hi3 in an animation by hoyo, and it was absolutely insane. Go watch that and that's all you'll need to know.
I think Sparkle is more so… sadly… wasted potential as a character You could see in the 2.0 quest and her trailer she had that insane streak and was clearly inspired by the Joker (she even said the “why so serious” line) and Harley Quinn (her huge hammer). She was meant to find humour in insanity, but she was clearly having personality issues with her multiple copies and being able to change appearances. But it never went anywhere. I think they were simply too scared to do anything dark, Penacony was full of this and Hoyoverse as a whole is way too scared about killing characters. Penacony was full of these fake out deaths and they’re too scared to make characters straight up insane or “too evil” and in HSR there is a glaring issue with the character relationships. When Topaz tried to do a hostile colonisation of all of Belobog for the natural resources but now we’re just buddy buddy? Ruan Mei as well? Hell, even Aventurine, there is a text message where you can respond as an agressor but they never actually did anything even though Aventurine went against us and all but we were just buddies… even Aventurine and Boothill randomly being friends as well is damn weird. Sure this is explained by Oswaldo being hated by Aventurine and Boothill (Oswaldo is in a different department to Aventurine and all the departments don’t really like each other even if part of the IPC and Oswaldo was the reason Sigonia was slaughtered because the IPC didn’t do anything to help the sigonians at all). Even the stellaron hunters fell victim, they were set up as the rival to the crew as the counter that was secretly helping but didn’t have the trust but now we’re just buddies… it didn’t make any sense to trust Firefly. The relationship aspect between characters in this game falls apart and holds certain characters back from reaching the full potential because every single character “needs” to be all buddy-buddy with the Trailblazer for some reason. Sparkle’s initial idea wasn’t made for that because she’s meant to be unpredictable and crazy but this means she’s stuck in a middle ground where she needs to be friends with the TB and simultaneously unpredictable which leads to her not being able to be present a lot because they kind of counter each other so she gets side lined. THE ONE character that isn’t really like this is actually SAMPO OF ALL PEOPLE, he’s actually hella mysterious and we know is a masked fool, he acts buddy-buddy but we know it’s because he’s a salesman putting on a front. He has done it a lot better than Aventurine’s character because Sampo is a show don’t tell character. Hoyo’s problem has ALWAYS been because they follow the “tell, never show” in their stories through constant talking, Aventurine is said to be the top gambler and always hiding his true feelings but we didn’t see any of that, we were told it by himself in the 2.1 quest… Sampo was someone we figured out is hella weird through his cues of being cunning and clearly hiding something yet acts all dumb yet is smart enough to constantly evade authorities. I un ironically think Sampo is probably one of the best written characters in this game because all of his talks are just made to be goofy or sweet talk to sell something, he’s the one character that doesn’t just reveal all his deepest character traits by just “yapping” about it, instead you have to actually pay attention to what he does because he doesn’t monologue to reveal everything about himself. They just couldn’t do that with Sparkle and she was made essentially irrelevant except for 1 part which was a let down.
Dang what a way to start off the year with a Herta song, I am quite excited for her story as she was always mysterious to me like Acheron. Loved the theme of this having that Alice in Wonderland, childlike yet darkness crewping in vibe it went all so well together, awesome song Hala, I am also really excited for the new year to hear more music from ya!
