Loved the jabs, and the genuine respect and homage. This was and will never be "just another superhero movie"....Was so much more.

I watched Deadpool and Wolverine with both of parents that at the time were married but they divorced when I was 14 (2004), my little brother wasn't born yet until two years later (2006) so he never watched the first X men movie on theaters, I invited both of my parents and my little brother to the cinema to watch this movie and we all had such a blast and shared a wonderful moment.
The funny thing is that Ryan allegedly had already planned the scenes around this song to the point where he didn't know what he would do if Madonna wouldn't let them use it.
Let's not forget all the people that helped make her music what it is - like many of her classic hits this was co-written by Patrick Leonard, and Guy Pratt's bass line on the original version really made the song.
in my eyes this movie is about deadpool's big heart towards his friends he is fighting for and this wolverine's redemption for the horrors of his past sins. Madonna's like a prayer just hits it home.
