z3link So was I. I never bought him as a Sith. He never made a convincing Darkside force-user to me it just never made sense. He had no motive. I could see him leaving the Jedi because he thought they were corrupt to became a puppet of the Senate and I could see him starting the Clone Wars because he wanted the Republic to be fixed and repaired it and so he started the separatist Army to start a new government I could see those things but I just can't see him turning to the dark side for any believable reason. So I want to know what would have happened if Yoda had turned him back
Everyone suffers differently, from different things. Dooku through suffering had reached a rock bottom if you will. A man is most dangerous when he has nothing left to lose
Another point about the novel "Yoda: Dark Rondez-vous" that I found interesting is that Dooku thinks that if Yoda ever did fall to the Dark Side that Yoda would destroy Darth Sidious easily and the thought of a Darkened Yoda actually almost frightens Dooku. Just something I noticed when I read the novel. Additionally, I noticed how Yoda outwitted Dooku with wisdom even when Dooku tried to tempt Yoda with the Dark Side and what he thought Yoda might want from it.
Gmail com The Jedi are based on Japanese culture. Yoda speaks with Japanese grammar, the robes and lightsabers are based on Samurai uniforms and katanas, and they call each other by their last names as a sign of respect when speaking to superiors or in formal settings. They sometimes call each other by their first names in casual conversation if they are close enough to be considered friends.
So his name is Yoda Yoda. or maybe one is spelled Joda. Regardless he was probably just a make a wish kid that everyone just played along with. He was masters of none.
In regards to the justification of Dooku's loneliness being his reason for his loyalty to the Dark side. I would say Dooku's feeling doesn't justify his reason for why he remained loyal to Sidious. In fact, I think what it really justifies is the fact that deep down he still loved Yoda and all those he once regarded his friends in the Jedi Order. I think deep down that he really regretted and missed those he felt close too. He may never admit that publically but in his free time, and mostly in private I am sure he was sad deep down.
But would Dooku really have taken Yoda up on his offer to leave the Dark Side for good? Every review I've seen so far points to Dooku feeling some regrets but in the end his resolve as a Sith apprentice was stronger than any pull to the Light Side that could have remained. I really wish there was some definite canon material that would answer this question once and for all.
TheKunLineage94 it would make more sense if Yoda was his last name, because all the other masters are known by their last name, master Kenobi, master Windu etc.
I believe Dooku himself believed he was forsaken but it was not true. In the end it was his actions that lead to his downfall even though this was his final chance to change.
Jethro Marwick His first name was just Sue. That is why he got so angry and turns to the dark side because he was a boy named Sue and everybody always made fun of him. Sueduku.

I believe there is an audio book as well of it. It's defiantly worth a read either way. Unless you're waiting for Disney to put out books for Dooku (which I doubt will ever happen).

Dooku doesn't have a first/last name. His name is just Dooku. Similar to the people of ancient civilizations who were just known by their name and sometimes also where they were from. But he just went by Dooku.
I've been wondering... Despite hints, confessions and obvious crimes done by Palpatine, how come no one ever questioned him? Elemental Jedi hey man
Makes me think of that scene in the Mr. Bean movie, where his luggage had a tag saying First Name: Mister Last Name: Bean. XD
Jedi grand Master yoda
why have to commented on most videos I've watched lol

Yeah, true
I don’t think Dooku was ever truely evil
Watch the Clone Wars series
He wasn't evil. Palpatine on the other hand...........
+DragonDude11480 In the prequel movies, you can even see remorse in his facial expression, when he fought Obi Wan and Anakin in Attack of the Clones.
Well he didn’t have yellow eyes, er, yellow/red eyes.
He was also sad when qui gon died but he was evil yes when he murdered slit of people in the clone wars and in comics
Yoda backwards, Yoda Adoy
See there, what you did
What if anakin hand was made out of sand 🤔

Of course that’s no justification, Yoda himself was age 600+

pretty sure palpatine sent them, because he knew what would happen.

In another story, Hero of Confederacy, Dooku was friends of Royal Family of Valhari (forgive if I spell wrong ) since Jedi
The world is talented at starship building and was amongst the neutral worlds at Clone Wars, when the Valhari beginning doing business with both sides such as creating more advanced Droid Starfighters for CIS

He wasclode to marrying and the Force Sensitive Son became a Fighter
Ace for Confederacy and rival to Anakin
When obi-wan discovered truth and som dies the women broke ties with Dooku saying that he’s once a noble Jedi turned into a man who’ll do anything do victory even betray his friends
That seemed to move Dooku as he left and later Sidious who in a previous conversation asked Dooku to not let his feelings blind him and advised him to diminish the Valhari s Power as they were becoming a challenge, now he’s telling Dooku that it’s a good thing that he lost his love and the planet left with no heir, telling him there are better prizes for him
