    The table was vibrated. The superplasticizer we use is Advacast 530 from Grace products. I also recommend Advacast 555, that can be bought at Delta Performance Products or BlueConcrete. They also carry color pigments.

    The work is by Crepusculum, and the song is A Fledgling Firework. I love the whole video, my wife just loves the music.

    This video was made 2 1/2 years ago and we have reformed our sink plug fabrication process. We use a resin made for surfboards now.

    Correct. We use a fiber called Control by Nycon that disperses in the dry mix.

    Whatever concrete is cast against, it will mimic. The material we poured on was masonite with a gloss finish.

    Hi Derek, may I ask what mix of concrete you used? Is it a standard slab mix but just dryer?, Your mix seems to be quite dry.I presume that is to avoid holes caused from too much water. Thanks from down under. Dean

    What type of mix did you use. I missed the reinforcing. Was the table vibrated because that mix flowed very well. Thanks tho... very helpful.

    We work with polyester resins and make the same but faster, more nice and versatile. Are PE resins restricted in your area?

    I have watched your video over 20 times in the last week. Reasons - 1. I plan to build a dual-basin bathroom countertop in the near future and want to learn from others; 2. I can't get enough of the guitar soundtrack. Would you please share the name of artist and song title. Thank you. Great video!

    Great video. Can you please advise how to create a slot drain in the bottom as opposed to the traditional circular drain shown in your video?

    • @16meckls
      @16meckls  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Without diagraming, the best way to create a slot drain is to ramp it or slope it to the back side. It doesn't have to be a drastic ramp, just enough to create pitch and guide the water back. If you want a photo on how to create a slot drain, email me at meckls16@yahoo.com

    Hey! Great you tube video. I was wondering if you could explain the formwork you made for inside the sink. I have been trying to wrap my brain around doing something like this with an easy to remove void. Looks like you figured that problem out. Any advice would be great appreciated!

    Was there no polishing required? Got to love that if so.

    • @16meckls
      @16meckls  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, no polishing. The material one pours against will give you the finish and so does the sealer one uses. The trick is too have a mix design that doesn't have bug holes in the surface.
