      Jim is not innocent in all of this. He's a worm and so selfish. He absolutely pushed to continue the show without Ant instead of giving the bosses an ultimatum, he never considered going with Ant because it would initially be less money. He was happy to sit there all those years like Ant and pretend everything was fine, they would enable opies crap. Just look how he turned on louis ck despite admitting to way worse than he did on the show, there's audio of him admitting to pulling his penis out on women and that's just the surface. The guys whole personality and mannerisms are just absorbed from his friends, there is nothing authentic about jim norton.

    • @seanfertitta6585
      @seanfertitta6585 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      Just highlights the difference in demeanor, professionalism, and intelligence between the two. Jim and Anthony are far from perfect, but just listening to this you can tell that Opie refuses to take any real responsibility for his role played in the downfall of his and Anthony and his and Jim's on-air and personal relationships. I used to give Opie the benefit of the doubt, but when EVERYONE you used to work with doesn't like you and you still refuse to take responsibility for your role in things? That's next level narcissism and arrogance.

      Opie could have satisfied himself being the on-air producer: intro the topics, prompt the discussion, wrangle the off-air staff, but most importantly, get out of the way of the talent. Conduct the interviews, if he liked. But he couldn't stomach not being the talent, even if his name was on the billboards and he was paid as much as (or more than?) everyone else.
      We could have had several years of the Jim and Ant show with Opie being the mostly-unheard conductor, and they'd all be making millions. Instead, this charmless cretin dynamited the goldmine he was sitting on.

      In a way he did make it up. Ant's talked about how Opie sees the world thru a completely different lens than everyone else. They would experience something together and Opie's reporting/understanding of it was totally wrong and/or insane. He did the same with Ant's comments post break up. When Ant talked about the thing with Opie's wife's sex tape and said "I'll let the internet speculate on that", what he meant is, THAT'S what the internet does - obsesses on rumors and ridiculous stories. Opie heard what he wanted to hear. He's obsessed with that dumb story, and he LOOKS for reasons to sperg out over it. If THAT'S his best example of "the terrible things Ant did after the break up", then Opie's even crazier than everyone thinks. I've always thought Opie has Asperger's or autism - he has a ton of the characteristics. The main one is that he's always totally out of step with the rest of the room.

      The guy is fully insane. He's such a textbook narcissist. Just knows he wants everybody to feel sorry for him and tell him he's right and he's a victim, regardless of going through an hour long conversation about how that's irrational and everything he's saying is contradictory to the last thing he said.
      He started off explaining how he and Jim aren't close, then it's how bad he felt because Jimmy didn't say exactly what he wanted to hear at a specific time, despite that he doesn't have a clue what he wanted Jim to say. This is a literal masterclass narcissistic delusion.
