Hardcore CTM seems like it had more effort put into it. The gear and sawblade attack have been greatly buffed, while the floor attack seems to have no changes. The cramped sawblade rotating section is even more paranoid than usual, nad the added projectiles definitely keep you on your toes. Close To Me seems to have gotten special attention, which I appreciate, but I wish they'd put less attention down on the bossfights and focus more on levels like Termination Shock.

I mean. Every boss has randomized attacks. It’s just that the randomness for the other ones has to do with the positions of the hazards, rather than the selection of what attack is used.

I got a question about this video, how are you recording a game from Steam or a Nintendo switch (if you're playing on Nintendo switch) into a PlayStation 4 and edited
Oh it's on PlayStation 4 it's kind of rude for the developers of just shapes and beats to not tell us there was going to be releasing it on PlayStation 4 but thanks for asking
Cube Cube gamer it was advertised on PlayStation email, that's how I knew it got release, but it wasn't official that the developers didn't announce it, so I'll agree with you on that.
Cube Cube gamer however, it is possible by plugging a USB storage device to your computer and transferring your recorded footage from your computer to the USB, taking it out and plugging it into the PS4, and lastly import videos from the USB device
This is why I almost want to stop playing this game forever. Yesterday I got Rank S on Clash Hardcore OUT OF PURE LUCK. It's not rewarding to accomplish something that way. I'd rather deal with only one layout and memorize it so I can pull off Rank S consistently between different game sessions. Even if I exclude my intention to Rank S everything on Hardcore, I still don't feel like I'm getting good at the game even with just 3 Hardcore songs left until full game perfection (Close To Me, Annihilate and Mortal Kombat). I'm sorry, devs, but the basis of music games are interpretation, memorization and repetition. RNG ruins everything. It's better off as a troll for pirate copies.
TheReventadorChannel That’s just bull. Random projectiles ≠ pure RNG base. All of the new random hazards are fair and completely reactable, you can avoid them all by paying close attention (expect the laser part in New Game, that’s pure RNG I agree). Same with this level, I already S ranked it three times and I’m sure I can do it every time. If you think those random hazards are either “unfair” or “RNG base” just amid it, you simply suck at this level or this game in general, or have a kinda poor reactive potency. Try to play some game that can improve your reactive potency and then come back from this game might be a better idea for you, or else hardcore just not a game mod for you 🤷♂️
Yunlong Zheng This specific level is not much problem, as what varies is the order of the attacks and not the content of the attacks themselves. The real bullshit comes in levels like Clash, Mortal Kombat and the ending of New Game, as you told. Excluding the randomness of the mini spiked balls at the pre-buildup, the rest of Annihilate Hardcore is a perfect example on how to make a proper hard level. With every game session you know the boss is gonna throw the groups of 32 balls in the exact same direction across every game session, the arms he builds spawn and move the exact same way across every game session, and so on. It's hard to dodge, but at least there's an incentive in knowing exactly where to go and what timing you need. Regarding the rest of my comment... I'm not good at handling a guitar controller to begin with but let's give an hypothetical example. Let's say I really wanna FC Through The Fire & Flames on Expert. I start studying the layout. Initially I'll be having a hard time and start practicing section by section. It takes long but the timing of every note to be hit is always the same even if you come back to the game 10 years later. It's all about the mind and finger work. At one point, everything is trained and memorized, and I pull off the FC. So I train some more and there will be a point in life where I pull off consistent FCs across a long timespan of days. And then I might get the crazy idea of doing it blindfolded. After even more training time the thing becomes possible. Do you get what I'm saying regarding music game development in general? You could apply the exact same context in games like Osu, Project Diva, Cytus 2, Voez, Neon Drive, and so many others. Remember: interpretation, memorization, repetition. At least a level editor will come for this game. You could have an almost troll-level with super precise timing of dodges and movements (RNG not programmable in level editors) but at least you always know what to do even if you cool off and come back next day.
TheReventadorChannel I think you got the most important thing wrong. The game you showed as examples are all rhythm games, but JSAB is NOT A RHYTHM GAME, it’s a BULLET HELL GAME. The rules of rhythm games just simply don’t apply to JSAB, because even though it’s associated with rhythm, it’s not a rhythm game.
