CONTRA: HARD CORPS - SEGA GENESIS - 1994 - S06:E03

Welcome to aBITnostalgic! On this channel, I try out Sega Genesis games. Growing up I had sided with the Super Nintendo during the console wars. By doing so, I missed out on what Genesis had to offer. So I figures it's time to check out some of the games I missed out on. Today's game, Contra: Hard Corps! I'm not here to play every game, nor am I here to beat them. I just want to see what I had missed, and who knows, maybe even start a small new collection along the way. The Japanese version of the game is the only way I can play this game. You get 3 hit points in that version so you can actually get far in the game. The US version they took out the hit points so it would make the game more difficult. Otherwise I love this game.

Great video! I played this game on the Contra Collection and was really impressed. It’s interesting to me that both this and Castlevania for the Genesis offered branching paths, but Konami went more linear on the SNES.
