I also agree that if one is going to buy a bag, buy one that just takes your breath away! I usually plan my purchases but I do leave room for those moments when I see something really special. I have found one with a great price compare to the store price and it has the original receipt but I’m still hesitating that this might not be authentic, do you know how I can make sure that this receipt is for this particular bag? So I find November is great for clothing but for designers bags, I actually found that September/ October was great too. Black Friday has a lot more deals but quite a few online luxury stores did blanket discounts in the run-up and then focused on more clearance type sale during Black Friday. So it just depends on what you want! :)

Amie, I do like the idea of preloved bags. However, I am not a fan of Real Real and Fashionphile websites that are in the US because their prices are high. I have considered several bags at Vestiaire Collective website; however, there is a 15% custome fee for bags over 800 dollars. I once paid for a Gucci Soho at Vestiaire, but he seller changed her mind. I do think that Mytheresa has great selection and good sales, but the bags go really fast. I could not get a YSL bag on sale. I love the content of all your videos. It helps me a lot because I am not experienced in buying luxury bags. I will keep checking Mytheresa.

I love buying Chanel second hand, I've got 3 bags now and haven't paid full price yet. My most recent is a Chanel Trendy which I got for £1500 less than the RRP and it was in brand new condition. I also love vintage Chanel and you can get so many bargains online with them and they're often in great condition too :)
Girl, I’ve been eyeing them for MONTHS! The classic monogram minis are so hard to find but it’s not very difficult to get ahold of the new lock pattern in store, from what I’ve seen. People have been selling on resale sites, preowned, for prices ranging from $2000 (only possible though bidding on Stockx as far as I know, and that could be a gamble) to over $3000 (every other website I’ve seen). If you don’t mind waiting and calling LV everyday for availability, I would recommend saving your money to buy it new for $1940. Strangely, the customizable bag with decals is currently the only variation available for purchase online.... 😒
The mini is so cute. You can wear it crossbody, shoulder or as a backpack. You should never overpay for a bag that you can get in store. If you want the bag, go into an LV store and put your card on file so when it comes in they’ll hold it for you! Some of these sites may not sell the real thing.
It’s so funny you say that about getting the bag you actually want. I really want a Louis Vuitton cardholder as my first luxury purchase. Something with the traditional print with a hint of light pink to it. However, the price stops me and when I realized ysl also makes cute cardholders for like $275 I did consider it. At the end of the day though it’s not the cardholder I want so I’m going to splurge on the Louis Vuitton one.

After some bad experiences I feel very nervous about putting them on eBay but it’s beginning to look like the only option.
You can try selling on IG. Look up cashmere_consignment or mireyna_fashionlover. They take a fee for listing your items and also a % if it sells. You’ll be responsible for shipping out the items yourself.

lemonymango that piece has been “smart” since it came out. Princess Diana always wore it as a clutch, and was constantly photographed with the 26. For over 3 years it’s been extremely difficult to get the 26. Used ones are going for much higher prices than new retail.

Martin Carmona Get it at Heathrow if they’re available there. You don’t have to fuss with the VAT refund process. I got the LV Cluny and Neonoe at Heathrow and saves a ton right off the top.

It depends which ones. My pure silk ones I hand wash but the non-silk ones, I put them on a gentle wash cycle :)
