Hi Kanthamma. The Pirbright Institute is the World Reference Laboratory for FMD and work is ongoing to improve diagnostics (especially in the field) and our understanding of the transmission and immune responses to infection. For example, this study published earlier this month: www.pirbright.ac.uk/news/2021/10/new-research-giving-insight-persistence-highly-contagious-foot-and-mouth-disease-virus

Is this same for sheep's and goats also ...?

As far as we know, yes, the virus life cycle depicted here, for FMDV infection of susceptible cells within a cow, is the same for an equivalent infection of susceptible cells within other susceptible hosts.

*NEVER DISMISS THE NEED FOR SCIENCE!*
With 2 teenage grandchildren I'm ever grateful for organizations such as The Pirbright Institute who forge ahead against such odds trying to secure all children and my girls a world to inherit.
🙏 *THANK YOU AND GODSPEED* 🙏
