Travis, you have a bank of welding knowledge in that head of yours, just slow it down for us when you’re trying to articulate it into words, much love from Australia
Weldtube has placed itself among the top if not ON TOP of the welding pages across all platforms! Personally I think it the video would’ve been much better if the majority of the video was focused on y’all’s arc shots as y’all’s discussion & trade tips instead of watching one guy stand there as the other welds with 10 seconds arc shots… bc seeing the movement of the arc and how it looks in a top tier welders hood would be much more useful imo
how do you guys minimise the cup "grabbing" or rolling up on the bevel edge? cup size? so it does not sit on the sharp edge and rather sit on the bevel face?
@@weldtube works really good, did some 2" sch 40 carbon tig roots, used pulse off my MPX 330 and it worked great. tight gap and like 200 amps, just pushed right in
Could you do a in depth video on the d1.8 seismic I might have to get one done at some point here in the future..like is there a certain rodor wire I have to use or what does my future specs look like ect..
Lovely looking root👍 But such different parameters from the procedures i work to at the company im working at atm here. We use feathered edge, 2.4mm filler, 3mm to 5mm gap, 120-130amps. So much of a faster travel speed than you show here, your parameters and method looks so slow!
Have family..friends… and myself in the union welding and never been heard of anyone laid off for more then a half day.. and if they were they chose to take time off. It’s about where your at and what you bring to the table

Great job guys, you two make it look so dang easy.

You can go smaller or simply not putting much weight on the torch and just sliding.
You guys ever mess around using tig pulse on the root pass for heat control?
No we have not, but that would be an interesting video for us to try🤔

What kind of starter are y'all using, a trigger or peddle or which, tks for the video
Just regular lift arc tig, no pedal.
What a beautiful root 😢😍😍😍

Why go to a trade where you get laid off constantly? And wait months for a job.. plus this trade it’s all about who you know
Have family..friends… and myself in the union welding and never been heard of anyone laid off for more then a half day.. and if they were they chose to take time off. It’s about where your at and what you bring to the table
