dang I wish when I was in kinder I can be in a classroom that nice
I've taught kinder for 5 years and this year after a hurricane and covid have moved schools and to PreK. Shouldn't be that different but let me tell you I feel like a newbie teacher all over again!!!
This is the best video ever! I’m coming down from kindergarten to preschool -so I’m very grateful for your video! Even though I’ll have 22 students with only two adults. A little scared about that.

Our morning routine is similar but the kids can free play anywhere even at our centers, we then clean up, have alphabet Matt time, in which we use a smart board, we do the calendar, month, day of the week and year, we have a letter of the week and do the sound it makes, weather, shape, we then all line up wash hands, snack time, after snack we have craft time, we all do craft all 24 kids at the same time (very chaotic, especially if its a scissors one) gym time, storytime and show and tell, then they all have too grab a tabletop toy and sit at a table and wait until patents pick up... I really like the idea of separating the kids into smaller groups for craft like you do.... I would love too see a video on activities you do for gym... Also has a child ever dumped all your book bins out? Or ripped down your calendar, I know it's at eye level and easy for little hands too grab... Haha... Our classroom can get very hectic and busy some kids have so much energy they run around and don't want too actually play with anything, it's quite frustrating at times

I would like to see how you run your centers next. Thank you for the help. I will begin teaching PreK in a school setting this school year coming up.
I will probably be doing a video on that here soon! But basically I did center rotations with the centers I had for about a half an hour so that the students hit every center and then they had free choice where they could go wherever they liked for the remaining center time.

Hello, I love the idea of singing a song about the weather while your weather reporter is looking outside. Do you have a link to the song you use?

You may have had an issue from trying to order from your phone? Are you on the TPT app or using the link from the video? I can view and save to wish list on my I-Phone, but last I checked to actually purchase I have to use my Mac. I have used TPT for many years and I don’t remember it always being this way. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly. 🤷🏻♀️

Я удивлчюсь неужели американские не знают таких простых вещей как прийди, раздеться, положить вещи в шкафчик, помыть руки? Это же элементарно. В России все дети знают это и им не надо делать разные наклейки с напоминанием.
Do you teach special needs students?
The Pre-k program in my school was created for students that needed some form of early intervention. So they had to either be seeing a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist or physical therapist to be in the program. We also take in community kiddos who would benefit from being in an early childhood education program :)
