After many listens the melodic singing has really grown on me. Kyle Anderson has one of the best screaming vocals I have ever heard. So much strength behind it. An A+ on the mix, sounds perfect.
Considering the significant member changes this band has had, I have literally nothing negative to say about this. Amazing work Kyle and the rest of the AI team.
I like their cleans, he just did a plain chorus too many times. I never once complained in lumiere about the cleans. here I can find many complaints. but hey I'm just part of the audience. and the audience expectations are totally ignorable right? what the audience thinks doesn't matter right? wrong.
I personally think Formless and Pathogen is what The Afterimage should've sounded like, but this new stuff is still fucking killing it. I'll continue to support these dudes no matter what.

I feel like they repeated the chorus way too much and the song didn't capture my attention lyrics wise. was plain. The Unseen doesn't have a shitty, cookie-cutter chorus and overall formulaic sound. It's actually pretty intricate, even if it isn't the most obscure track they've ever written- it still goes much harder than this, even on the melodic parts with singing included.
