My favourite Road Racing channel…..Dave and the team at Obsession Engineering, are the epitome of what Real Road Racing is all about……Thankyou Dave 👍👌🇮🇲❤️ ps great to see Dekka Kelly helping out, a Manx Legend on a 2 stroke 👍🇮🇲❤️
Open and honest as always Dave, excellent insights to the many problems surrounding this years NW200, if only those responsible for rule enforcement could be as transparent when it comes to their decision making. So nice to see "Coops" so relaxed and thoroughly enjoying himself (as he should after a brilliant week) was so pleased Ryan got the true redemption that he thoroughly deserved after last years farce. Well done also for the very professional approach to keeping Shtum over the very unfortunate Red Flags that seemed to occur in every race and as you clearly showed when waiting for news on Martin (well done by the way, superb effort for a virgin!) it's very unsettling when you have no news/lack of communication etc.. Best wishes to Lee J, Michael Sweeney, Nathan Harrison and any other injured riders, who sadly won't make the TT this year, speedy recovery guys. And above all else..... Safe ride at the TT for you Dave, go fast and have fun, at least it'll be organised so you know what and when you're doing it...... Yeah i'm biased, i'm Manx and proud of it! :)
Superb vlog, watched live on the iplayer but feel like I dont need to watch the highlights now because you have covered the event so well in this video. The explanation of wheelgate was so good, your chats with others and you to us gives a great insight and the sensitivity at who had fallen at red flags is a touch of class. Whoever put this together has done an awesome job and the channel has got to be one of the go to channels. Keep up the great work and ride safe.
The control fuel debacle at the NW200 is absolute bullshit mate. Boothy bought it up last year aswell. Love this channel, absolutely brilliant vlogs. Great to see Lee smiley and full of beans. Speedy recovery lad!

Brill vid Dave yet again!! Back in my day we were super disorganised, but way better organised than the current NW200 "organisers". You do very well dealing with it and keeping yourself safe and upbeat. Love your channel its mega. Good luck at the TT.🍀
Although my racing career was hopeless and short lived, watching you having the times of your lives brings back all that excitement and buzz. Loved watching this. Well done all
As the Aussie's say, " A Typical whinching Pom!". Massive thank you goes to Derek Keys of "Euro Auctions" for the generous donation which secured the race took place this year. A road racing fan!
Your passion and enthusiasm for racing, whether it's your own bikes, Francos or anything else bike related is brilliant. Great content as always. I'll be coming to the TT for three days on my Todd, so of You're about I might pop and say hello. Keep it up good luck on the TT
Great onboard footage seeing all those guys on your tail going in all directions bet you were glad you couldn't see them 😂 thanks again its all the background stuff that's so interesting 👍
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, I came across your channel while researching Aprilia rs 660, so I’d be watching bits and pieces since then. You passed me in the paddock on Saturday, I thought, I know that guy, penny didn’t drop until later, otherwise I would have said hello and best wishes for the day. Anyway, keep up the good work with the videos, 👏👏👏👏👏 Cheers
What a great insight into road racing. It was my 2nd year at the nw and seemed not as smooth as the year before. Weather was great though again. All the best for your next race 👍
Saw this video come up and was kinda like.. not another person standing in the field commenting etc.. actually a really good watch, congratulations and best of luck in the TT
Another cracking vlog Dave. It really does seem badly organised, I know there were a lot of red flags which obviously makes things tight for time but from the whole wheelgate incident to quick turnarounds after being stuck out on course with cold tyres it all seems a tad shambolic at times. Look forward to the TT vlog next month, have a safe one. 👍
That was just brilliant. Fabulous insight into the frustration and pure adrenalin rush just watching you guys. You do it because you love it. Stay safe and keep those videos coming. Having nightmares about the comment. 14 year old boy outside a brother. Wanting to go in but not sure. That was so funny.
Loved the video Dave, your racing vlogs are fantastic and I frequently find myself rewatching the TT vlogs....and your cooking videos. Good luck at the TT Dave, stay safe and enjoy yourself....Make sure Gary learns the course this time 😂
Another great vlog I like your videos been watching for a couple of years, it's good to see the concern for your riding mates I think it's harder waiting in the pits than actually riding by far especially at the TT. I spent many hours waiting and trying to find out what has happened to my riders at the TT especially in the older times before transponders and GPS tracking. Please keep young Franco on coarse I'm glad he has such a great set of support behind him especially yourself and Pete.😊 ps have a great TT.
grown up watching the NW200 for over 20years, the sound and feeling of a handful of superbikes coming past you 10ft away at full chat down into metropole, is something you cant experience from a video or racetrack, plus the buzz around the bars, and in general, round portrush and portstewart is second to none especially if you get weather like this year. its a shame the 2strokes and kellys are gone though. in regards to it being disorganised, it was doubtful at one point wether it was going to go ahead this year with issues round insurance and things.
Nice one Dave i saw you at Metropole corner on the Thursday evening race after a red flag. Fantastic video great content. NW 200 2023 ummmm , rules regulations and red flags.
Great vid, congratulations Obsession team. You sounded a bit frustrated Dave at the organisation, rightly so as a competitor. For us spectators it was frustrating too, one of the worst I've been to. The racing was great when it was on. The fuel thing is a complete rip off and the FHO debacle makes the organisers look stupid. Never mind, looking forwards to seeing Franco in the next BSB round, onwards and upwards!
Brilliant video, but with regards to the FHO exclusion the M1000rr can be ordered with forged aluminium wheels as a zero cost option, which is what tyco done. FHO broke the rules and paid the price for it. Good luck at the TT
I can only say the reasoning behind the fuel issue is the control just as u say. And I’d say that if they allowed random type of Pump Fuel. There would be too much difference between all the competitors.
Great video as always. That was quite a C up about the Carbon wheels . What was the reason for banning them in the first place. Also I know what its like when the the organizers do an imitation of a Chinese Fire drill... for the competitors and teams it just sucks! Happy you all had fun but so sorry to hear about Lee Johnston I hope he's going to be ok ...
Back in the 80's the cf wheels did fall apart, so they've been a bit of a concern since. But now they're stronger than alu, just not very good at bending if you clip a kerb
@@obsession_engineering CF wheels must have passed some stringent DOT tests to be OEM wheels. Ford AND Ferrari, even use them on road cars. Sad result for Lee J.

threeee great in britain pounds 😢 per metric liter ...does this mean to limit the rpm till ~30miles per hour drivers can read ; very enviromently friendly 😂
As your discussion on the 'newcomer' requirements show, this race is organised and run by half wits. The fuel and wheel rules need to be addressed immediately. Was up on thursday, perfect weather and they couldn't manage to get the race schedule complete. Fans totally bored at the end and looking to get home. Can anyone tell me why after the warm up lap there is another 10 minute or so delay? Surely stop to form the grid and go?
Some bikes need to top up fuel, and the lead riders would be a few minutes waiting for the last group to form up on the grid, but they still waste far too much time
@@obsession_engineering IDK, maybe the rules should require tank size that will last the race and warm up. Not exactly long distance is it. And put a 5:30 minute timer from start of warm up lap to start if race. If a rider isn't ready they are out of the race.
Great vlog content as always Dave ... shame the paddys can't organise a road race, maybe they're better at organising a piss up in a brewery cos they sure can't sort the basics of a road race.
