The John Muir trail in Yosemite, the Timberline Trail around Mt. Hood in Oregon, The Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier or join a Global Vacation Race in Patagonia, Iceland.. or other places they go. or one of the Great Walks in New Zealand :)
I love yall! Thanks for sharing this adventure with us. I am watching 4 or 5 videos a day to try to catch up to yall. lol Congrats on 1,000 miles, wow!
Give the Long Trail some thought. Challenging. 273 miles. Also, consider the trail to Choquequirao in Peru. Machu Picchu gets all the attention. But the llama terraces of Choquiquirao are spectacular!
1000 miles is still 1000 mi. It just seems like yesterday that Will was playing the song, ,yes we've done 400 mi. That still plays in my head 😁. Love you sunshine, love you captain, Nan
Superior Hiking Trail. 310 miles.. Pigeon River (Minnesota/Canadian border) to Jay Cooke State Park just south of Duluth MN. Moderate difficulty compared to what a lot of the AT looks like. Do it in the fall during leaf season. Absolutely gorgeous and very pleasant daytime temperatures. Do a couple Googles. You might be intrigued?
I recommend starting on the Camino del Norte in Irun and then crossing over on the Primitivo. You basically get both. Awesome views and a beautiful hike by the ocean and then my favorite Camino through the mountains of Asturias and Galicia. I did 6 Caminos by now and that is my personal favorite. Not too overcrowded and just stunning. After Gijon it is so much roadwalking which I did not like too much so I recommend crossing over to the Primitivo
Congrats on 1000 miles! Some other trails to consider. Superior Hiking Trail Minnesota is around 300 miles depending on spur trails you do. Red River Gorge in Kentucky (I think) about 10 smaller trails 2-6 miles, they also have zip lining and climbing...more of a fun week getaway vs long hiking trail. If you don't want to do the PCT right away, could do the Sierra High route. West Highland Way Scotland is on my list. The Wander Women did a hut to hut hike but I don't know the exact location...I know they did some in Austria but they were also in Croatia and I think Slovenia. Views were gorgeous, food looked fantastic and the people were amazing.
The West Highland Way in Scotland is absolutely breathtaking. Would be beautiful to vlog and is only a week or so to cover so the whole family could do it.
Thousand miles wow congratulations you guys are rockstars. I really enjoyed the video without any sound and just you guys hiking felt like I was with you guys. Have not done them yet but the east coast trail and west coast trail both in Canada. Hoping to walk the Camino Portuguese soon. Again good luck and be safe.
For Largo or anyone with a tick problem, spray your gear with permethrin and picaridin for your skin.... You can justify the weight of the picaridin, sawyers picaridin, or get picaridin wipes .. Lyme disease is life changing...
I would love to see you vlog this one, it’s so unique and even if you did the longer routes I think you would only be 8 days ish. You need to take a helicopter from the base camp to your starting point so Captain would love that I’m sure! And I believe you pass into the Nunavut national park also on the multi day hike(there are several options) “There are no roads, trails, or signs in Torngat Mountains National Park. There are, however, unmarked hiking routes and traditional Inuit travel routes marked by inuksuit. Visitors can explore the park on guided/ unguided day hikes and interpretive walks, overnight camping trips, multiday backpacking treks, and technical rock-climbing excursions. With help and logistical support from Torngat Mountains Base Camp and Research Station, Parks Canada offers a range of day trips and overnight hiking opportunities in Torngat Mountains National Park. These are tailored for different skill and fitness levels, and there is something for everyone”
Hello from Tennessee! Been watching yall for a while and just want to say I love your videos. Authentic and quirky (quirky is a GOOD thing-you’re interesting! and entertaining😊). Sunshine I hike in Topos and absolutely love them. I had Hokas and had foot pain, but no pain (or blisters) with the Topos. I think it’s amazing you both get to make this memory together. Not many 16 year olds that even get along with their mothers these days🤷♀️. Anyway, keep up the good work, cherish every minute, and keep vlogging. Tell Will his choice of music for the videos is especially awesome!
Well, the Florida trail goes from Pensacola and down towards Miami and covers the whole state pretty much. It is 1500 miles long. It might be a nice fall type of hike because Florida gets hot. Also, less alligators and similar creatures during the winter months. But it would be a pretty flat trail mostly.
@@janetmessman95 no, but there’s a small area where they share the same trail. The Colorado trail is like 560 miles; I’m currently following a hiker who is doing it, her channel is Audrey all over I believe.
Sunshine and Captain! Long time watcher, first time commenter! 🤣Thanks for mentioning the trail magic! And yes, I have been watching when your videos are posted! FYI. (Great sticker!) Great editing by Will! Love the scenery, accompanying music, trail banter, and the honesty you have offered to all those that watch. Hang in there with the tendonitis, Sunshine! Ice and stretch when you can. Happy Trails! PS Love the new closing. "Live the dash" It's from the poem, "The Dash" by Linda Ellis. When you said it for the first time, I started to cry. I had recently read that poem at my mother's funeral. I look forward to you saying with each video. I have started saying it more to people I know. Thank you, again for brining that meaningful phrase to light!
Captain I would love to see an update from you in 10 or 20 years about how thru hiking impacted your life as and adult. I would imagine this kind of accomplishment so early in life will breed success and confidence for the rest of your life.
Hi, thank you for posting your adventure! I can only imagine the work it takes to do it. I appreciate it. I would recommend the Foothills Trail. It crosses from North Carolina to South Carolina and is 77 miles long. Its a beautiful area with a lot of history. I would say that it is no cake walk. Its a fun trip. I took 2 weeks for it as I wanted to BE in and SEE
You asked about trails you might be interested in. I follow Feral😂 hikes. He’s a triple Crown hiker who is now doing the via Alpina in Switzerland and it is incredibly beautiful. You might want to look into that or you could just look at some of his videos too because it’s just it’s aheartstopper how pretty it is.
Just caught up on your videos. Congrats on the thousand miles . Regarding the tick situation is there a spray you can apply during the day. Happy trails
Last Tuesday, all downtown Johnstown smelled like manure. People called 911 to report it. Authorities were dispatched. Last I heard, no source was identified. I was just relieved that it wasn’t me, because the smell was everywhere!😂🤪
Not sure how close you guys are or if you already passed it but the FBI had part of the trail closed near Bears Den and Route 7 crossing in Bluemont. They say there is no danger and that it was scheduled
Please research symptoms of Lyme disease, so you are prepared. Rashes don’t always show up, and it’s actually quite common for Lyme disease to go undiagnosed. But, it causes horrible problems if it goes undiagnosed. I don’t want to scare you, but I also don’t want anything to happen to you. Knowledge is power.
Your true followers love you and want the best success.
I'm all for Sentry being in the video. She's the cutest fluff ball. 🤍🤍

John muir trail and the long trail.
Just flew to Norfolk and as we flew over Appalachian mountains I waved to you
One of my favourite walks was the Via de La Plata. Norte was spectacular but La Plata fed my soul.
Norte is our next Camino dream
Congratulations on 1,000 miles!
The John Muir Trail is magnificent! I’m hoping to do that hike someday, I’m sure you would love it!
Same here!
Hope to see another video soon.
John Muir trail is breathtaking!
I would love to watch you start where the AT and Long Trail split and finish the Long trail.

Tour du Mont Blanc! I loved your vlogs from chamonix
Wonderland trail ❤
I think a good short hike for you guys would be the Pinhoti trial, from Flag Mountain in Weogufka, Alabama to North Ga on the AT it’s 326 miles.

The slow motion with the music was very cool!!!
Great job, Will!!!
Love your videos. Thank you to the 3 of you. Keep up the great work!!!😊❤

Coastal Portuguese simply for the easier organisation at your end.
Love your hike , you guys are awesome! 😊❤
I love the Camino head scarf ! You are both amazing. Wishing you the best as you journey forward.
Via Francigena: Canterbury, England to Rome. 1,300 miles. Pretty amazing!!
