I'm normally all for changing the paint of something but I actually really love that existing paint job. I'm so excited all the Halloween decorations are finally coming out in stores.
Same it’s a duochrome- reminds me of an old MaC eyeshadow (club) I used to use back in the day
I really love it too honestly, it just sucks it doesn't match any of my office color scheme 😩Maybe I can try and put some greenery around it and see if it works before I paint anything

How about painting the skull head silver? could still shadow with a blended out black for depth. That is a satisfying find when same day, best feeling!

I would embrace the existing paint job. It's a beautiful contrast. It actually does go with your decor. (Look at the colors in your Moth/Butterfly pic.) Your office is BOOtiful!

I immediately subscribed because you’re fabulous and then the same day, I found the same holy grail piece at my Home Goods too! There were only two left and another fellow Halloween lover who also watches vlogs overheard me talking about watching your video and snagged the last one.. lol. As someone with an ever growing skull collection-I feel you here, he's fantastic! I'll toss a vote out for black with pewter highlights (think using rub 'n buff) to give him a good spooky aesthetic. White could look too much like just the top of a typical medical plastic skeleton.
that's what my husband was saying! I think I'm leaning towards the black as well and then do some rub n' buff

I think you are so genuine and hilarious, anyhow I’m watching some older videos but I actually just ordered this skull pedestal off the TJ Maxx website last week, but I know the shipping is annoying! It’s such a good piece, debating painting it white????? Not sure
For your new friend I might go with black, because I think it would stand out more. But, maybe some moss around he or she could make the bronzy green on the skeleton kind of be witchy/earthy.
I might try to fit it in with some greenery and see if it works!

That same skeleton bust was at Michael’s a few years ago, black base with a shaded bone color. I have it, im looking at it now it’s the exact same!

Our house we had burnt down in 2017, we moved it with my grandma for about a year, then lived in a tent for about a year, and now we're in a camper. I wish you the best of luck with everything. I love him. I agree the paint job is very specific and a bit odd, I would absolutely paint him. Since I painted a skull gloss black last year and immediately painted over that, I’d say go flat/matte black with maybe a matte dark dark gray wash, the depth and detail will contrast well. I’d love to see the repaint! I paint 90% of my purchases!

My TJ Maxx had nothing, Home Goods had what looked to be last year's left overs. I'm also on the hunt for the Skull ! I'll be out again tomorrow!

How much was the glass skull? I would have bought one, filled it full of little pumpkins or plastic spiders with the webbing and put it on a pedestal. Maybe with some lights inside? Looks fun!

I would paint it a bronze with goldish highlights to match the browns the room.

Don't paint him trust me when you decorate it will end up making sense to let him be a focal point. The color is perfect. It definitely does go with even the stuff just behind you. He is supposed to look antique so he goes with your Edison bulb and your insect chart, don't paint it!!
