I hope Coral heals up good. I average 9 mpg when towing our 5th wheel. We are just about 24,000 lbs total (truck & trailer). My truck is a 09. Interesting video Mark. Take care over there! Sean
i have just ordered the mg trophy due to collect end of march went for the auto they saying towing is 1750 but my caravan only1498 watching you video made my get it many thanks for all the information you have put on will give you a update when towing where did you get your towbar fitted
I must admit I sometimes forget I have the van on sometimes. But I tend to tuck in behind a truck and drive at the speed the trucks going at. Hope Coral gets better soon.
I hope so too! She is much better now, not in pain, hopefully we will be back out sometime in November fingers crossed. As for the fuel consumption, I'm sure we where getting 30+ mpg with the Kuga, was just seeing what the average was. Thanks for watching 👍
Hope Coral feels better soon, and that y’all can rebook. We drive a diesel truck so our fuel consumption wouldn’t help you, and we don’t have a tow car.
Sorry to hear you had to cancel Anglesey. Hope coral is well soon. I think the MG problem is the engine, it is an SUV but built for the school run not towing. I have towed with petrol engines before but preferred a decent sized diesel with its low down torque for towing. Last tow car was a 2.0 litre Diesel Saab towed like a dream. Agree you need to know you are towing, forgetting can lead to problems and in my case inappropriate overtaking LOL
I preferred my diesel Kuga, but you have to try these thing. As for a school run car, I thought that was reserved for the likes of the Range Rover Vogue Supercharged 5L 🤣. Thanks for watching 👍
Can't believe you've had your car for almost a year already. I feel like you just got it. Time goes by way too fast. Aww poor Coral. Hope she is better quickly. Never fun to be hurt and never enjoyable to cancel a trip. Well that's kind of a bummer that it doesn't have a little better towing power. Shame we have to buy huge gas guzzling trucks in order to pull our campers. Heck, do you guys even have pickup trucks over there? Never really paid much attention.
Hopefully Coral will be OK come November and we can rebook or at least book somewhere. The MG is a bit low on pulling power, but it still got us to Cornwall. 350miles and big hills. We do have pickups in the UK, but they are not very popular, an SUV seems to be the car of the moment . Thanks for watching and keep safe 👍
Aw bless her, hope Coral is feeling better and on the mend ❤️🩹 Interesting review of the MG Mark thanks for sharing it’s quite useful to us at the moment 😉 Stay Safe 😜👍
Appreciate the sharing the updates, 🌸🙏 hopefully you do get to rebook and Coral recovers quickly! 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
I hope so too! Thanks for watching 👍

I did average 30+mpg with my kuga when towing, if I only got 9mpg, I think I would have a heart attack 😳. Thanks for watching and keep safe 👍
Great video! 😄 Sorry to hear about your canceled holiday. 🙁 The MG seems decent for towing. 🚗💨 Thanks for sharing your review! 👍

Hopefully when the plaster comes off , everything will be fine and we can get away. Thanks for watching 👍
I see why you asked me the fuel consumption question! Get well soon Coral and hope you’re soon back to enjoying trips.

I had a diesel last year and the fuel consumption was a lot better, might have to go back to one. Coral is feeling a lot better, thanks for asking 👍

Thanks Mike & kirsty, she is feeling alot better , but its a few weeks before the plaster cast comes off. Finger hovering over the book button😁
Hope Coral is on the mend. Take car both 👍
Coral is feeling better, plaster is coming off in 4 weeks , fingers crossed. Thanks for watching. ATB
What is it like to tow on the motorway? And in general apart from Cornwall does it tow okay?
It's not the best tow car I have had, but it does the job at a push. would not gat another one to tow our size caravan.
I use a kuga 1.5 twin turbo petrol at the moment pulling 1450 max …and only get 24-26 mpg
I’m waiting on new MG 2024 Trophy Auto
Would be very interested to see how you get on with and how the auto box performs. Thanks for watching 👍
