"Gýrna Xaná" (Come Back) is a Greek monarchist song composed in 1944 during the Greek Civil War. It calls for the return of the exiled King George II to Greece, and promises that monarchist troops will root out the Communist Party (KKE). George II later returned to Greece in 1946.

English Translation - Historical Fact: Constantine II was an able sportsman. In 1958, King Paul gave his son a Lightning class sailing boat for Christmas. Subsequently, Crown Prince Constantine spent most of his free time training with the boat on the Saronic Gulf. After a few months, the Greek Navy gave the prince a Dragon class sailing boat, with which he decided to participate in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. At the opening of the Games in Rome, he was the flag bearer for the Greek team. He won an Olympic gold medal in Sailing (Dragon class), which was the first Greek gold medal in sailing since the Stockholm 1912 Summer Olympics. Constantine was the helmsman of the boat "Nireus" and the other members of the team were Odysseus Eskitzoglou and Georgios Zaimis.

@@Atreas40000 Some time after the junta fell the Greek government revoked his nationality as of today nor him or his family and relatives are considered Greek. that is what i meant by suffered because he never returned to the country after that for more than a couple days in other words exile. they took his power with American help and then they revoked his nationality in order to prevent him or his descendants to take back what was rightfully theirs. As for why it is because they are afraid it does not matter whether he is alive or dead they fear him because he is a threat to their rule.

@Prasanth Thomas His family has been in Greece for 160 years now. His ancestors were born and died in Greece. He was baptised Greek orthodox, served as Head of the Greek state and military. Won the gold medal for Greece in the olympics of 1960. Attended all 3 officer military academies and served as Green Beret officer. If any Greak today was to take a dna test he wouldn't be 100% greek anyway.
Therefore as much as it hurts you, He was born Greek, he lived as a Greek, and he died as a Greek.

@@Pfalz536it's Pàvlos in Greek Παύλος when α=a and υ=í are together they are pronounced as a soft av (or af in some cases).
I don't know exactly how the current regime in Greece deals with it's Monarchy memory, but I was surprised to not see a state funeral like we saw in Romania with King Mihai. It only stains the greek State.
