How to Convert Hand Knitting Patterns to Knitting Machines Part 5

In this short series, I am going to show you how to convert hand knitting patterns - of anything, with any weight of yarn - to any gauge or style of knitting machine, through the use of a simple spreadsheet and some basic maths.
The advantage of knowing how to do it yourself over using online calculators is that you can adapt any pattern of any garment to any machine and any yarn. It's a skill which is well worth learning, especially if you are starting to find the 1990s machine knitting patterns a bit dated!
