As someone who is also turning 30 this year; this one feels special to me. I’ve been spreading the Street Sharks Gospel my whole life and I absolutely love this anniversary series ❤
Im 31 and im the same way,now ive always bin more of a Turtles guy, especially cus tthe 90s movie was my childhood. But i do have a lot of nostalgia for the Street Sharks cartoon lol. I think had Ripster as a kid? Cant remember🤔
To me, these are perfect figures. The general look and feel of these new ones is exactly like the old ones, but once you take a closer look, you'll see how the sculpt is way more detailed and sharper than the originals. Proper arm and leg articulation combined with the original action features and the cool "shark-like" skin material boost these new ones way ahead of the originals. And to me at least, these completely replace the originals. These are the perfect combination of new and old: looks from the old, design from the new. I LOVE IT. HAVE A JAWSOME 30th ANNIVERSARY SHARK BOIIS!
Yeah I was going to start collecting the old vintage ones but after these were released, I'm just strictly collecting the 30th anniversary ones. Plus they are wayyy cheaper, better paint, better sculpts, better articulation. What more could you want!
Street Sharks are after my time as well. But when toy companies start going back to shows like Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Herculoids, and Thundarr. I'm all in.
I'm not a dad but I love dad hats. They aren't stiff in the front like ball caps and trucker caps making them much more comfortable. I have all three of these Street Sharks sitting in my POL at BBTS.
I grew up watching and playing with Street Sharks, were some of my favourite toys, really wish I still had all my old ones, especially my favourite Moby Lick, really hope they get to make him
You can be sure these figures are resistant Mine are still intact ! btw - Wave 2 has shown up on Walmart Collector con catalog Big Slammu Streex Dr. Piranoid
Love them got these as soon as they became available in the UK, we have these, Moo Mesa Cowboys, Biker Mice From Mars, obviously TMNT - Ones I would like to see we need the Swat Kats, Road Rovers (which to my knowledge never got a figure line), Dinosaucers, Mighty Ducks and Fish Police just to name a few
This was after my time, but I remember coming home from a graveyard shift at work and catching the Street Sharks cartoon in the early AM as I ate "dinner" and crashed during the day. It was... goofy, but still kinda fun. I might grab one or two of these.
These actually look really cool! My son is totally into MotU now, and he loves all of the action features. He also loves using the Land Shark to eat figures, so this is something that might be right up his alley. We’ll have to see what happens if he sees these in stores… ~Damon
These figures look fantastic!! Always loved Street Sharks, had them as a kid and had no clue what they were (I assumed they were TMNT villains) my grandparents bought them for me at a junk shop and they easily became my favorite toys
It’s funny, Street Sharks were a bit after my time, too, but I always thought they were neat. Getting the new ones now, I like them a lot. They’re right in my niche of tmnt/motu wild and weird mutants and monsters.
At the 15:14 toy hunt part when you were showing the vintage Shark , what was that ship that was right under the figure next to the Silver Hawks Mirage ship .,it looks awesome
Definitely getting Slash (because I love a good weird villain and as rad as the sharks are, I don’t trust that skin) and hope a non-squishy Slobster shows up in a future third wave!
I’m 41(42 end of Oct) and I thankfully always stayed in toys. Went from MOTU to tmnt & joes. Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, battle beast, cops, Rambo, & police academy too. Then Batman, swamp thing, toxic crusaders & X-Men & Jurassic park. To Star Wars & wrestling. Then horror toys & merch. Then got back into 80s toys. But always got MOTU stuff. And still getting toys lol And while I loved sharks I never picked up any street sharks but always thought they were cool
I wish they had some clear plastic in the packages to protect them more in-store but I appreciate the idea of going full throttle with the nostalgic packaging They look fun, I liked the first style they did to bring back these figures (the sofubi ones from a while back) but I understand going more Origins style I’m hoping this line does well enough that they don’t have to go on clearance while also hoping they go on clearance…tough call! Thanks for a great review!
No mistaking about it that these first wave figures look almost exactly the same as their vintage 90's counterparts, with added upgrades by movement of arms and legs. Also, the cage that can be used as an accessory to containing a figure instead of just being box packaging part? DEFINITE Jawsome to that! 🤩🦈 Someday I truly wish to get Ripster for sure. I remember having a vintage Ravenous Ripster for my birthday SO many years ago, though such shame it has now been long lost. P.S.: Before the release of these first three trio, I remember seeing on eBay a different version of Ripster figure which looked real terrible by its design, along with accessories he came with (this one was in workout-gym attire).
I was excited for these toys (always been a fan of street sharks) and now that i finally have them in my hands i am so happy. Not only r they pretty much the original toys but redone they are a great price compared to other action figures i have gotten and feel very durable. Mattel messes up sometimes..or perhaps..often.. but these r great!
Not a fan but from what i jave seen on reddit they are great as long as you never use the play feature as the rubber on the mouth starts to rip so id keep them in box or just pose them and never touch them again
Why is it that I decide I don’t need to collect something, then see your videos and change my mind? Also, cool swag. Pair all that stuff up with that Moo Mesa Deputy badge and you’ll be unstoppable.
Ps. You know Ed’s retro & narc are going coo coo for them. I’d like to see some mutts come back. Those are cool but nuts on 2nd market & the new sharks are slightly smaller but way better movement.. thanks
Great video. I got Street Sharks on preorder from Entertainment Earth, looking forward to them arriving. Hopefully this line lasts a good long time (and perhaps include the Extreme Dinosaurs as well someday).
Surprised there isn't much comment on the reports of cracking around the corners of the mouths. Saw it on a couple of figures in stores. Thankfully, I only wanted the villain, but that comic-con exclusive was tempting
It's to bad you didn't show it but I think the turtles of grayskull will look great scale wish next to these. The more cartoon colors of the turtles I feel will match these and since you showed a motu He-man we know the scale works and yes the sharks are supposed to be larger then the turtles or humans. I might have to get these now for my turtles of grayskull diorama lol. Here's hoping Mattel does "Extreme dinosaurs" now. Just get all the hero's from all these lines in the motu style lined up on the shelf. Now I just need Thundercats in the motu style.
You'd think that a fin trigger for the hammerhead action would have been easier and cheaper to engineer than an arm trigger, and it wouldn't have affected the articulation.
Mattel absolutely knocked these out of the park. I do have nostalgia for the vintage ones. I was pretty into them, but never collected them in my adult years, and it's kind of like I was rewarded for holding off, because these are better than the vintage ones in so many ways, and yet they evoke the feel of the originals perfectly. Exactly what I think we all wanted. EDIT: I am a little jealous I didn't get that sweet swag, though. 😝
Fun package, cool fig & good size. Price point wasn’t orgins cheap but affordable. I’m not into sharks & I bought 1. My favorite was moby lick from the vintage
while never having street sharks growing up as I was moving on from figures back then , I always liked the concept and designs for them . this and the recently announced wave 2 are defo on my wants list , just hope wave 2 isn't going to be to hard to get as they seem to be walmart exclusive for a while. also would love to see them do the bikes . I have a version of ripster on a hog that I got at a flea market and he looks awesome .
@MetaBee.loves.Medabots the wave 2 stuff was up on BBTS for preorder but they are coming in later then Walmart so there is a little delay on them there
I never had much interest in Street sharks as a kid back in the day and didn't have any. I am still kind of surprised these are a thing. They're not really in my budget right now, but if they're still in stock should that change, I'd be down to add these to my shelves
I agree with you, I feel nothing for these figures but I do remember buying the big hand puppets of these for my nephews & I still have them in a old junk box... time to make a little money.. ha ha ha ha ha
Dan when you see neca crew can you ask what's going on with gargoyles very slow on new releases I would like neca to do a modern take on street sharks, extreme dinosaurs and mummies alive action figures can you ask them if they can do it get the licence and gargoyles line why so slow the 3 toy fair reveals haven't gone up for pre orders we want all the characters Odin eye goliath is safe next figure it's goliath and ask if they can do bendy wire wings like hiya rodan for winged characters. Thanks dan.
Hello Pixel Dan...! I'm from Portugal and I am a huge fan of your channel...I have your book and I love your videos...at SDCC2024 please ask to the Mattel representative if they are going to keep the promise of doing ALL the rest of the VINTAGE figures, playsets and vehicles in the ORIGINS line...! Thanks...!.
Really lame these are already wearing and tearing at the mouths because mattel chose to use rubber rather than hard plastic. Should've changed that part from the vintage line unfortunately :/
They bite. They fight. They stand for everything right!
As someone who is also turning 30 this year; this one feels special to me. I’ve been spreading the Street Sharks Gospel my whole life and I absolutely love this anniversary series ❤

Agreed, they nailed it. I think even the most cynical toy collectors can appreciate these.
Yeah I was going to start collecting the old vintage ones but after these were released, I'm just strictly collecting the 30th anniversary ones. Plus they are wayyy cheaper, better paint, better sculpts, better articulation. What more could you want!
Now they gotta make extreme dinosaurs and muscle mutts
Hell Yeah
We also need Thundercats in the motu style.
@@roonis418 That should be an obvious one. Mattel isn't going to stop this nostalgia cash flow, so we might actually get them at some point.
I was 20 when these first came out so have no nostalgia for them, but can still appreciate that these are cool and fun figures here.
Street Sharks are after my time as well. But when toy companies start going back to shows like Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Herculoids, and Thundarr. I'm all in.
Wow, I wasn't expecting them to keep all the original action features along with the added articulation. Very cool
I'm not a dad but I love dad hats. They aren't stiff in the front like ball caps and trucker caps making them much more comfortable. I have all three of these Street Sharks sitting in my POL at BBTS.
Got all 3 bit 2 are gifts..Kept Slash because he was my first one as a kid..They are amazing!
I grew up watching and playing with Street Sharks, were some of my favourite toys, really wish I still had all my old ones, especially my favourite Moby Lick, really hope they get to make him

Dinosaucers!
I collected the original line a few years ago before prices starting going up. I would like to get a Slash just to have the nose drill.
They look EXACTLY like the 90’s figures line. I’m definitely buying some
I love them! I never got to get the original figures either growing up. I can't wait to get these once I have free funds again.
This was after my time, but I remember coming home from a graveyard shift at work and catching the Street Sharks cartoon in the early AM as I ate "dinner" and crashed during the day. It was... goofy, but still kinda fun. I might grab one or two of these.
You made vin diesel proud today.
It's a good alternative to the vintage if the price is out of range. Vintage Street Sharks are pretty expensive!
They are SO awesome
You mean JAWesome
These actually look really cool! My son is totally into MotU now, and he loves all of the action features. He also loves using the Land Shark to eat figures, so this is something that might be right up his alley. We’ll have to see what happens if he sees these in stores…

At 14:37 in the video what is that big ship next to the Silver Hawks Mirage ship... I need that for my collection
This should be your official new look. I didn’t grow up with these either, but I’m digging them. I might grab some to display with Origins.
Definitely getting Slash (because I love a good weird villain and as rad as the sharks are, I don’t trust that skin) and hope a non-squishy Slobster shows up in a future third wave!

I'm so keen, my set hopefully hits Aus in the next week or so

"I'm a dad kinda." How can someone only be kinda a dad?
Awesome! Though would like to see some of the characters we never got made
Why is it that I decide I don’t need to collect something, then see your videos and change my mind?

only thing I remember about this toyline is the puppets.
15:35 You look very cool, Mr. Dan. 😂
Great video. I got Street Sharks on preorder from Entertainment Earth, looking forward to them arriving. Hopefully this line lasts a good long time (and perhaps include the Extreme Dinosaurs as well someday).
Now...if only we could get an Origins style line for James Bond, Jr.
I still have my original street sharks from 30 years ago, and I even kept the packaging for them!
Depends on price I'm gonna have to hunt down these, the Biker Mice from Mars, and figure out a line of Turtles to make a display.
new ones are actually slighty bigger
Surprised there isn't much comment on the reports of cracking around the corners of the mouths. Saw it on a couple of figures in stores. Thankfully, I only wanted the villain, but that comic-con exclusive was tempting

I remember these being my baby brothers toys, and I still thought Skeletor would light them all up :P
Hope they do a show accurate Jetpack jab now
You'd think that a fin trigger for the hammerhead action would have been easier and cheaper to engineer than an arm trigger, and it wouldn't have affected the articulation.
As a 40 year old, I have much nostalgia for Street Sharks and Extreme Dinosaurs lol! The shows sucked but the toys were cool!
Next goal- get Mattel to give us Food Fighters Origins!
The original still have novelty
These are a nice update
Mattel absolutely knocked these out of the park. I do have nostalgia for the vintage ones. I was pretty into them, but never collected them in my adult years, and it's kind of like I was rewarded for holding off, because these are better than the vintage ones in so many ways, and yet they evoke the feel of the originals perfectly. Fun package, cool fig & good size. Price point wasn’t orgins cheap but affordable. I’m not into sharks & I bought 1. My favorite was moby lick from the vintage
I love STREET SHARKS
I would like to see neca do them more modern action figures mold.
All in on these
while never having street sharks growing up as I was moving on from figures back then , I always liked the concept and designs for them . this and the recently announced wave 2 are defo on my wants list , just hope wave 2 isn't going to be to hard to get as they seem to be walmart exclusive for a while. also would love to see them do the bikes . @MetaBee.loves.Medabots the wave 2 stuff was up on BBTS for preorder but they are coming in later then Walmart so there is a little delay on them there
Give me Captain Planet, Mattel
I used to watch the show when i was a kid,its so rediculas but i love it lol.
I never had much interest in Street sharks as a kid back in the day and didn't have any. I am still kind of surprised these are a thing. They're not really in my budget right now, but if they're still in stock should that change, I'd be down to add these to my shelves
The arms and legs are removable . U just have to pull really hard , I suggest using plyers.
There's a reason why Mattel is one of the best Toy Companies👍
cool video as always
I like the blue one, if anything I may get that one.
Love these new figures
So far only bought Ripster but do like to grab the other two if I see them in stores.
Cool toys action figure Street Sharks collection❤😊
Coming from a hat guy, a hat or the hat looks good on ya
Now looks like also Mondo is doing the Street Sharks...
Do you know something more? 1/6 scale?
I agree with you, I feel nothing for these figures but I do remember buying the big hand puppets of these for my nephews & I still have them in a old junk box... time to make a little money.. ha ha ha ha ha
I was always a TMNT kid and I didn´t care for Street Sharks since I felt it was just a copy. The same for Biker Mice from Mars...and Battletoads.
I can’t figure out why Ripster is $29.99 and the others are $24.99. Funny thing is, it’s not even third party sellers.
Jawsome shark figures dan 👍
i hope they have Tentakill in the second wave.
Damn its been 30 years?!
am hoping we'll also get a re-release of Extreme Dinosaurs
Idk why but I thought these were Mattel creations exclusive
I want the Fany back and Dad hat. Yes I'm weird.
They sure didn’t! 2nd wave is Walmart SDCC event exclusive 😂😂😂👎🏽
42?....I thought he was at least mid 50s
this came out when I was already in college... still very much into toys but as poor as a rat. Now that I have a job, I'm glad it's back. 😅
Thanks for the gun show.
This review is jawsome
I love these figures but omg theres so much wasted plastic in the packaging. who is seriously gonna want to keep all of the plastic cages?
Fanny pac is definitely SDCC to carry the smaller swag.
Jaw-cellent!💯
Ripster already tried to chew my 6 year Olds fingers off. Haha... she was upset.
Very toyetic and fun while still catering to collectors. A perfect balance!
Dan when you see neca crew can you ask what's going on with gargoyles very slow on new releases
I would like neca to do a modern take on street sharks, extreme dinosaurs and mummies alive action figures can you ask them if they can do it get the licence and gargoyles line why so slow the 3 toy fair reveals haven't gone up for pre orders we want all the characters Odin eye goliath is safe next figure it's goliath and ask if they can do bendy wire wings like hiya rodan for winged characters. Thanks dan.
How do the TMNT “ripoffs” do better then the actual remastered TMNT
They're $25
Everything is Jawesome.
JAWESOME!!!!!!
Man, Vin Diesel is getting old.

🆒
JAWSOME
Idk Dan, you pull the hat look off imo!
C'mon now Dan, you're a wrestler, rock that fanny pack!
Can I have the hat lol
Really lame these are already wearing and tearing at the mouths because mattel chose to use rubber rather than hard plastic. Should've changed that part from the vintage line unfortunately :/
