I still have some of my old Street Sharks toys and I have to say: this line is the most beautiful homage I could imagine; we are really talking about taking the old figures and doing nothing but improve on it. I only got Jab thus far, but it's a 10/10 for me.
Nice! I just found Dr. Piranoid last month, I gave him to my son for Christmas and he loved him. Haven't seen Streex yet but I saw Slammu once & passed on it. I was 14 when Street Sharks came out and I still bought & played with toys, so as I was just getting out of TMNT these were right there to take their place along with Aliens vs Predator figures. I still remember going to Toys R Us with my mom and seeing Ripster and being like "WHOA! What the hell are these? The guys who made Masters of the Universe made shark people!?" and I was into the line for years. I had just about everyone they made plus alot of Extreme Dinosaurs too. I sold everything in the mid 2000's as I didn't have a nostalgic connection to them as much as I did my other older 80's/90's toys. So when they announced these were coming back and pretty much just like the originals with addwd articulation, I was like "Sign me up!" I can't wait for Waves 3 & 4, Slobster, Killamari, Moby Lick & Manta Man are in those waves this year so I'm hyped for them.
Please explain in great detail how Mattel can make this product WITHOUT a cartoon, comic book, movie, or kickstarter like program. Please explain how they are able to have so many unique sculpts/molds?
Actually the sporty guy of the Street Sharks team is Big Slammu who used to be a high school football player before he got geneslammed by Dr. Paradigm.
This wave lives up to the promise made by the first wave, and it's a fantastic continuation of what, I think, is a near flawless execution of this idea. Since you asked, Street Sharks was a very big deal to me and my friends when I was a kid, so yeah this is a preetty big deal for me!
Super stoked for the next waves (especially Moby Lick and Killamari). Has there been any updates on when they are releasing? Because Mattel has been radio silent about this line for a few months now.
The look of the skaterboi ❤ Might have to get him for my TMNT collection, totally radical ❤ I remember the cartoon vaguely but I was more into TMNT/Sonic games at that point. 😅
Waiting for some news on the line after wave 2 came out - been oddly quiet, no special celebration actually happened in September, no comic book or other merch update either? Hopefully we get news by March.
These were past my childhood so I never got them then but I really like the new ones and have been picking them up. Thanks for taking a look, it’s making me want to go hunting today!
They are really great figures and genuinely would love to grab them all but the $25 price stings. Figures are pumped out like crazy these days and some lines I just can't keep up with
when wave three comes out you need to display them next to the remake turtles. They were in fact made with the idea you could put a TMNT in the shark mouth.
I never really connected with the Street sharks like the Ninja Turtles. Probably because there is not a tech hero or a robot. I ordered Dr. Piranoid because its an interesting, almost mecha design, 90s kids cartoons really had a lot of Mad scientists.
Not a fan and never had a nostalgic connection for street sharks I kinda feel 25 is a bit much for these with no accessories. Kinda plain figures not nearly as good as Motu. I think a price point of 15-20 is closer to reasonable.
No reason to purchase them since I have the originals. Make some new characters that we never got in the original line like Clambo and I’ll purchase them.
Love that they still have the biting feature

I’m loving these new Sharks and hope they continue the line and hope they even extend into Extreme Dinosaurs.
“Street sharks is 30 years old”
Thanks i needed that reminder of how i am today 😂
Big Slammu has always been my favorite. It's going to be fun finally getting him!

Someone at Mattel with enough clout just really wanted to have these made.
I've been holding off on this line despite really wanting them. I had the big rubber puppet as a kid and it was so awesome.
Got them back in December
I completed full Wave 1 and Wave 2 so far !
Love 'em

I thought your shark intro was pretty good ❤❤❤❤
Hey Dan, do you have any merch by chance?

im in the same boat theres so much awesome stuff its hard to keep up with
I hope they do another run of Ripster. Missed out on him and now he’s expensive.
They are cool. If I didn't have the old ones, I'd pick these up.
Still waiting for wave 3 to be out.
I love these! Wasn't able to get these as a kid, they were too expensive. My kids love them, so we can experience getting them together.
Thats really sweet my dad does the same thing with me
"living vicariously through you" is what he calls it
Love them.
I still have the original ones.
These new Sharks look great! Ty for the Wave 2 review!
I preordered the main four immediately when I could. When‘s wave three coming btw!?
I have wave one but I need to get my hands on wave two next. I think these are cool I just don't like the cracking

Wow I feel like it's worth it for the shirt alone!

You almost hit it in the introduction. You should’ve had screamed like in the beginning of the movie.
To answer the questions proposed in the title: yes. And yes. 😄
Amazing! YES. These are indeed JAWSOME!!!!!! SOLD!!!!!!!!!
i hope they make boxing big slammu that would be jawsome :3
Now we just need the hand puppets
I was just talking about them

Is the box set going to be on Mattel creations??
Theres a shark coming great box art work there jawsome figures 👍
Wow Street Sharks Are Cool
I preordered wave 3 and 4 and EE cancelled it
Never collected but I might be down for some now. They can always hang with TMNT
I want to see Food Fighters and Army Ants make a comeback!!!
Awesome Review
Love them!
I gotta be honest. I wish they'd left out the action features.

🆒
Stay out of the water!
🦞🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
SHARK ATTACK!!!
The line or cartoon just never resonated with me. I remember they were peg warmers back in the day too. Glad for people who wanted it though!

Here in my country they're so expensive for a figure, im guessing mattel send you for free these figures. Not fair.
They're so awesome they had to give it to him for free to promote them, i've had mine for months
