Another unique take on system based stories. Would have love to have seen how evil this kid really was but otherwise great story. Will definitely be rereading it many times.
I've read the comments. Here's the thing guys, if there are fathers here reading too, our dads is our best friend since the day we are born until their last breath. They love us no matter what, it's just that some children take it for granted and some children see it differently that's why they disrespect their dads, and when they disrespect their dads that left an emotional wound on them that would make a scar in their hearts because being disrespected by their children (no matter if it's a daughter or son) it would hurt them deeply. Some in the comments say that he should've been there for David's growth as he had reflected but you've heard the story that it was just his facade to lock his inner demons and barely grasp what his father (George) had said to him. No, George did the right thing because that's what dads do when their son (or daughter) disrespected them, dads give their children parting words about life that they should know and grasp and then leave them to fend on their own, why? Because when dads felt disrespected and hurt by their children, they'll see it as you (the child) can do on your own without them. "Well, it seems you have the backbone to disrespect your father it means you can stand on your own and live on your own" that's the closest sentence i could think of but that's the right way of being a father to their children. It might seem bad but that's what makes boys (or girls) mature in an early age when their dad says something like that and when it's their time to be a parent that's when they'll realize the wording their father had left them

I read all that and can kinda understand what you're saying.
I watched a similar story but the difference was the MC stayed on the other world to be with his wife and son but the wife was indifferent to them both cause she likes another man and the son was innocent at first but slowly got corrupted by the grandmother and how his mother treats the MC also started treating him badly.
Then one day when MC was returning home for his son's bday, there was another man and the son's birthday wish was for his father to be gone and the other man to be his father so MC asked the system to return to his world in which he found true love and had a daughter as well but after a few years was suddenly summoned back to the other world. Then the system told him his son gained a system and used it to bring him back. He made it clear that he didn't want anything to do with the son and mother duo and he clearly misses his wife and daughter despite their efforts to win him back until the mother finally started to accept their mistake and started letting go of the MC but he got stuck in the other world for almost a year until the system found a way to bring him back but he has to achieve a goal and the son also gained a goal with his system to prevent MC to leave.
The MC won but the story got cut. I guess I'll just think the ending to that would be similar to this.

@@Qwert0010 Unfortunately, I can't remember since it was pretty long and it's been months. I can't find it on my watch history as well so it might have been taken down since there were a lot of complaints in the comments since it was suddenly cut off mid sentence without proper ending.
It would be great if David can traverse both worlds. I mean he did change. He might be cold but he did not turn evil, for all we know is outside his appearance, he is just a boy longing for his father's presence.

I love how both son and mother threw the ball back and forth between them xD I mean it's both your fault, he loved you both deeply and you both stabbed him in the heart...
I wish MC would've have confronted both of them for why he had left directly that day, seeing them and first lead so happy(that she was cheating basically and son asking to become his real son....)
That's why such a conversation about what they both did to him would have been great for both of their growth, but no... Never said anything about any of his past tourment to them... What's the point then ffs? If you came back to save your son you need to make him understand everything properly now, at 14 he can understand everything now. Same for Willow, she really wanted him back to the point of accepting to become the little wife despite her huge pride, he could have properly talked, she was listening...
That always bother me in those stories, talk no justu about how you feel ffs ! Nobody will understand you if you don't say it!
Willow was only looking to make things easier for Willow... I don't believe she would have listened to him. Look how she tried destroying her son AGAIN when the Dad left for good. David did listen to his Dad's words. He didn't necessarily get an HEA, but at least he didn't become an evil villain.
I was a bit surprised by the ending. Understandable though.

I get he was a 6 year old kid. But saying "I'm going to inherit the company, so why bother learning these things." is like saying "I'm going to get a bike, so why bother learning how to ride one."
Look, I get leaving his wife, as she doesn't deserve him, but David is his son, and at least he tried to change. I don't like this ending at all.

@Dante999000 At least he reflected. He was a 7 year old child manipulated by his grandparents and learned from his mom ignoring his father. Yes, he was in the wrong, but he reflected on that.
If there was time I wonder if we would have seen all the horrible things this kid was capable of?

Bro he had a another family by that time, how can he abandoned his loved family for a family who once abandoned him.
It would be good if his son David will be the protagonist of the next story, where he'll meet another transmigrator and will be his love interest, but the story should be more light hearted to at least freshen up our brain and emotions.

Well that ending was depressing. Mean come on dude at least try to save your son.
He did! David didn't turn into an evil villain based on his father's parting words. It already stated what was inside David, but he was able to overcome it!
I don’t disagree with George’s choice to go back to his original world. He felt like he failed and was dejected, however, he failed David and penalizing a 6 year old who was very clearly indoctrinated into his family’s belief system and made out to be a product of the Liu family is just immature. 13 year old David was remorseful and willing to change but George persecuted and left him with just enough words to pacify him rather than save him.
So why didn’t Willow marry the male lead…. Felt like that plot point was just forgotten. Shouldn’t have brought it up if they weren’t going to expand on it. 😒

I don't like the system story it's kind of unnecessary thing replaced easily by rebirth or move on plot and second thing is no parents cut ties with their children just because their childish behavior, they have child like ability, what can you expect.
Exactly. It's like a robotic story. I don't believe in rebirth, but it's more believable because I could consider that as a premonition (the MC woke up from a dream and return to the past which can also be interpreted as the MC sleep and dream about the future). System story is just not my cup of tea.

dude the story feels so rushed and the ending wasnt good either which father would left his son ever and for someone who will comment 🤓👆🏻but but but david wasnt good to his father stfu he was a 6 year old back then ofc i wont forgive him but its the duty of parent to teach their child and after at 13 he grasped the words of mc atleast he could get a chance to reconcile with his father and live with hana and mary and for willow she would mind it as she never care for david
PS:- just to think willow wasnt a good mother nor a good partner and for george at first he too wasnt a good father but i can understand his reason to abandonded his son but he should have taken him after their reunion.
I think you missed the part where the kid disliked his father and even mocked the pendant that he gave him when he was a kid enough to replace it with a jade pendant. He was also not from that world and was only there for a mission. Originally he did mention if Willow treated him better he would have chosen to stay but given the circumstances that time then staying will just be a losing battle for him.
The result was him leaving and the cause and effect started to materialize between mother and son. Both unable to comprehend why he left and unable to accept that they themselves are at fault for him returning to his original world.
@@xnocturnus_clips i dont think you understand a father's love towards his offspring they could forgive child's grave mistakes and still love them selflessly and help them learn things and for the fact he disliked and mocked him.........how old was he a 5-6 years old? right how could you expect him to distinguish what is good and bad and choice of words i think it could have impove by time i see a lot of children i repeat small children tends to dislike things and later startss to know it and learn it more for eg most people hate maths at first right? but later when people understand the concept they enjoy solving it same goes for him it wasnt a "losing battle" particularly and in the story david at "13" understand the words of george which we couldnt understand at "6" so yea try broadening your pov.

edit- i havent even wrote anything about me being ok with my kids **if i had one ofc** being disrespectful toward me. Children's behaviour when they grew up into an adult is highly influence by parents here the kid was legit a 6 years old litreally a kindergatren student and also point out his behaviour wasnt before like that it was degrading due to his grandparents and his friend circle which was MENTIONED in the story
After years of his son's attitude, and after 6 months of his wife and her family not even allowing him to see his son he decided to visit him anyway and heard his son asking another man to become his father..hell yes he should leave and go home, at that point remaining was useless
