Holyfield has seen and been thru it all. The man has been hit by Tyson,Foreman and a prime hungry Riddick Bowe. Hollyfield was the closest thing to a Rocky movie. He would be out on his feet and 99 percent of refs would call off the fight. Not with Evander. The refs knew. You better put thim down because Holyfield had the fastest recovery time from being hurt by any fighter I have witnessed. 30 seconds later he has returned damage. I'm glad Wilder listens to Evander. Wilder has a punch that drops a 240 pound man like nothing. They are either hurt bad or look so surprised by Wilder's power. Joshua has to be careful.

Wilder gets much respect for this KO and he did exactly what I knew he needed to do to win. He had to suffer some boos but hey, he stuck to the game plan. I slightly leaned toward Wilder winning because of his power, his quick right hand and leverage. Stylistically I knew Wilder had more advantages to land the big jab because he's fighting a southpaw that has shorter reach than him. Ortiz needed to constantly create angles while coming forward to offset Wilder setting up that straight right hand (big jab).
Ortiz needed better conditioning and bobs & weaves as well as all the other things he does well to get on the inside and assault the body. It doesn't benefit Ortiz to box a guy with long reach for too long. Strategy is important. He would have been better off going for broke early.
Wilder basically needed to hurt him and drag him into the later rounds and hurt him again. Much props to Wilder for keeping his poise cause Ortiz is a skilled and crafty boxer.
Conditioning is very important as well as having a game plan.

This was real shit right there.
Wilder sure did show the world with the way he handled the 7th & 8th round.
    Respect.
But I remain adamant that he can't rely on getting by with his height and tying up.
He's already got dynamite in both hands.
I want to see this man get a new trainer to tighten up or at least approach defense a different way. I'd love to see him do great things, but if he keeps getting caught like he did, one of those times he isn't going to make it out on his feet.
Amazing heart and willpower by Wilder. Skillful and crafty performance by Ortiz.
It was Wilder's thunderclap that made the difference in the end. Man .. Ortiz was blocking the shots with his gloves and arms and was still getting wobbled by them.
    Wow. Just wow.

Deontay Wilder please listen carefully please master the 1 inch and three inch punch. Then do what Ali learned as a young man keep your hand loose until right before impact then tighten your fist during impact you will hit a person ten times harder than normal if you do not believe me try it. Again congratulations on your victory over Ortiz and your sportsman ship is beyond reproach.

Much respect to the Wilder champion. He was seconds away from a possible loss.He recovered and won.Thats the point.Holyfield was one of the best champions of all time.He had his naysayers too.Too small.Everybody will beat him when he fights so and so...on and on.He came to win every time.No body can take that away.Deonte, keep it up.Your time is here. You were expected to lose, but came out on top.Congrats,Champ.

That was a good fight. I've been a Wilder fan since he started boxing, but I wish he would add some boxing to his arsenal. He's got tremendous power so he never had to, in my opinion, had the need to box. You can see that he always look for the knockout punch, which has kept him undefeated. But if he can add skilled boxing with that power and length, I would say he'd be unstoppable. But he's already unstoppable so far. It's kinda hard to critique someone that wins all the time but you can see where there could be improvement. Ortiz is a solid competitor and gave Wilder his toughest fight, that I've seen. It also seemed that they gave Wilder some extra time by checking his eye or for cuts. Seems they were trying to give him more time to recoup. There was nothing wrong with his face.

Its a capstone pyramid/all seeing eye/eye of horus. The other arm has the symbol of the anti-christ. The necklaces are also symbolic- one shows the key of david and the bigger one shows the holy serpent (their messiah). He has a gold Venetian mask which is a judiac tradition worn on Purim (only 1 or 2 days before the fight).
