You can tell by the audio that I recorded that after the rest of the video was done and then had moved my recording space, so it almost didn't make it at all!
I absolutely love the fact you don’t use profanity in these, like most TH-camrs usually would. It’s like a requirement or something they read about in the YouTubing for Dummies handbook; even when reviewing extremely PG material. As a matter of fact, when you choose a different way of expressing yourself (self editing, abbreviated versions of “cuss words”), it’s even funnier. I get about sick and tired of TH-cam content I can’t just play in front of kids or anyone else that doesn’t need (or want) to hear F bombs being dropped 17 times. These videos are calming, hysterical, wonderful, and harmless; a real breath of fresh air.
I appreciate you saying that. It is certainly a calculated decision, as I figure I'd want my kids to be able to watch if they ever, ever, finally, ever showed any interest in SBTB. (I'm glad I'm not holding my breath for this, as they simply don't care.)
2:04 . This is actually correct for motor vehicles too. It was taught in my driver's ed class in the early-00s. The reasoning for this is if your turn signals stop working, you can signal to the driver behind you.
Thanks! New Deep Dives drop on the 1st, 11th, and 21st. Specials (when I have them) typically drop in the middle of scheduled Deep Dives. Stick around and we'll continue to party.
Slater's outfit @12:15 is a crime of fashion. Who would wear high-waisted jeans with double belt loops? And with that shirt. Damn. He's learning from Screech.
Just binged all of these in a couple of days, thank you! Tremendous stuff, so funny, and so much detail. Really hope you'll go through New Class as well (not to mention the 2020-21 seasons), and any other bits and appearances (that Saturday Morning special was news to me!)
I'm glad you've enjoyed them! I have plenty of videos to release, including tons more with the Specials. (I didn't know about "Who Shrunk Saturday Morning?" until I started doing these videos.) Don't touch that dial!
While true, and while knowing what the arm signals mean, I'd still be a bit confused seeing them used in a car. The show could have used a more car-specific question.
I know you just did a deep dive into Screech but how about all the times he was well you know abused on the show? You know being slapped around by Zack, Lisa, Slater, Kelly Jesse and even Mr. Belding. Someone else uploaded a bunch of clips but didn't do a deep dive or commentary about it! Could all this be the real cause of his problems later in Dustins life? Dustin says he was shunned from his costars and claimed that he hasn't seen or spoken to them since Saved By The Bell: Wedding In Los Vegas. Well technically SBTB The New Class: Season 2 episode 26 Goodbye Bayside part 2. From 1994. True he did release his tell all book: Behind The Bell, he later confessed that it was a ghost writer and not him. He did apologize on Extra with Mario Lopez. There was talk of him appearing on the reboot but it never happended and Dustin would die from lung cancer in 2021. In one of his last interviews he talked about the SBTB reboot and he said how can you have a SBTB reboot without Screech? He even showed interest and wondered where Screech would be now. Would he have little Screechs running around LOL! Interestingly enough before his passing he was working on a commercial campaign with the robot from the O.G. series Kevin before he got sick. 🤖📼📺🥲
The Bayside gang, dining and dashing confirmed. And Kelly could give Winnie Cooper a run, liking our hapless main character one minute, and then backing off, the next. And a "friendship" ring? Unless it's a Green Lantern or Planeteer ring, I'm not buying it. Also, does Friendship ring mean Zack is getting Friendzoned? Just a weird concept
(a) I'm just sad you didn't include that classic rhyme... "Pushy, pushy, move your tushy." (b) Lisa the fashionista could have been given some more dialogue by critiquing the male background actor's belt. @2:50 What is going on there?
I pretty much skipped a bunch of episodes to comment on this one, seeing how the show isn't as consistent as we are to canon. I can head canon away the fact the reason they're all the same hallways because SBTB and GMMB are essentially plays performed in front of the live studio audience which they are. Why is Slater hitting on Kelly still after dating Jessie? Either Slater is a "player" (he sort of is better than Zack and Screech) OR the episodes as typically they are, out of order. I'm going with the latter but it's a pain in the ass to reorder these episodes into a flowing narrative. It's just easier just to say the show is never consistent.
I just wrapped a Special where I discuss the airing and production timelines as a way to make sense of Zack and Kelly's relationship. It made my head spin a bit.
I remember back in the 90s how there was discussion to increase highway speeds to 65 mph, and speeds have just increased since then. Granted, every stretch in various states has its own speed (Wyoming has variable speeds between 65 and 80 depending on wind and snow).
When I watched this episode I was like 10 or 11 and I thought that how easy it was to get a cool car…. Just pick an old dusty car and you and your friends can turn it into a badass ride in 4 hours.
Right? It's super fun with great characters, but riddled with production issues. It's like a train wreck you can't look away from, but because the carnage involves fireworks.
I’m going as close to airing order as possible, but Malibu Sands should be at the end of the junior year as summer jobs so that’s where I’ll put them as I continue through the series.
Oh, it was pretty dumb. But it wasn't supposed to be high art. It was always meant to just give us something fun to watch, and that goal was definitely achieved.
“I was in the seat… I’ll take the heat” 😂
Let that be a lesson to you, kids: Rhyming does not make you in less trouble.
Great catch on Slater pledging his savings the previous episode.

That makes sense.
And with that, I'm all caught up! Discovered "Does Max Deserve to be Saved" about a week or two ago and binged all your videos. Love the content!!
Thanks! New Deep Dives drop on the 1st, 11th, and 21st. Specials (when I have them) typically drop in the middle of scheduled Deep Dives. Stick around and we'll continue to party.
Love the videos. Please don't stop. When you have dived into every episode, I expect a full deep dive into the college years and then the reboot!
That's the plan!
Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here? You forgot The New Class!!! I now see that was intentional.
“Pushy pushy, move your tushy.”
The dude was just a delight.
Slater's outfit @12:15 is a crime of fashion. Who would wear high-waisted jeans with double belt loops? And with that shirt. Damn. He's learning from Screech.
Having lived in this era, I never saw that look on the streets. The magic of television.

Why would hand signals be for the wrong vehicle? They can still be used for cars.
While true, and while knowing what the arm signals mean, I'd still be a bit confused seeing them used in a car. The show could have used a more car-specific question.

This is something I'll definitely be covering in a future Deep Dive Special.

Unless it's a Green Lantern or Planeteer ring, I'm not buying it. Also, does Friendship ring mean Zack is getting Friendzoned?
Just a weird concept
I want to know the correlation between a "friendship ring" and a "buddy band"
I do a Special on Zack and Kelly's relationship that will be released once this season is over. It's pretty odd.
🚗Great deep dive!📺📼🏫🔔
Thanks!
one thing that does not make sense how did zach get the drivers ed car through the door
Right? No clue.
(a) I'm just sad you didn't include that classic rhyme... "Pushy, pushy, move your tushy."
(b) Lisa the fashionista could have been given some more dialogue by critiquing the male background actor's belt. @2:50 What is going on there?
That is the smallest belt I have ever seen. I wish I had said something about it.
The most unbelievable episode ever is when they acted like Zack had a actual chance of keeping up with Slater in a fight
That's like Screech vs. Needick logic.

Whenever a cop stops me for a ticket I always say "i was in the seat, ill take the heat"
I hope you say that directly to the cop's face.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives I do. They laugh. Well most do. Some don't. Haven't had a ticket in 10 years though. I manage to talk my way out of them.
The show should be called, “Zack Doesn’t Learn A F***ing Thing”
Had the show been created in this modern streaming environment...
I never once noticed the boom mics as a kid. Never. 😆
I'm with you. It wasn't until I did a viewing in college that I noticed how often they appear. Then this channel was born.
55 mile per hour? On what highway? It’s 70 in most places and 80 in some of the southern states.
I remember back in the 90s how there was discussion to increase highway speeds to 65 mph, and speeds have just increased since then. Granted, every stretch in various states has its own speed (Wyoming has variable speeds between 65 and 80 depending on wind and snow).
You're confusing a freeway with a highway
Do we have a Randy Pearson sighting at 1:21?
It's a mighty fine resemblance, but I doubt it. That's the dapper pirate from "Dancing to the Max."
When I watched this episode I was like 10 or 11 and I thought that how easy it was to get a cool car…. Just pick an old dusty car and you and your friends can turn it into a badass ride in 4 hours.
Wouldn't that be nice?
Pushy pushy move your Tushy
Oh, Stinky Stingwell.
Zack Morris is Trash blames Zack for distracting Slater. And for setting it up in the first place
I still don't know what to believe with the writing be so inconsistent.
Nobody mention how they are able to repair the hood, the wires and other issues with the car in 2 minutes?
The hood is the thing that gets me.
I accidentally hit the unsubscribe button. Didn’t see the latest upload. Don’t smoke pot and watch saved by the bell deep dives kids!! 😅
Maybe I can use that as the moral in the "No Hope with Dope" episode. 😂
@@savedbythebelldeepdives I would love that!! Hell…any kind of shout-out would give me instant street cred.
The clothes in these episodes make me nostalgically cringe.
Around this time, I was rocking white Reebok Pumps with an insane neon orange trim. Nostalgic cringe indeed.
Perfect example of cringestalgia, a word I just made up
This show. Wow nostalgia yes. It truly is a great show for how absurdly stupid it is
Right? It's super fun with great characters, but riddled with production issues. It's like a train wreck you can't look away from, but because the carnage involves fireworks.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives did you do the Malibu sands eps yet? Those were confusing to me
@@savedbythebelldeepdives I don't know if watched the show in order or not bc of how discombobulated the order is storyline wise
I’m going as close to airing order as possible, but Malibu Sands should be at the end of the junior year as summer jobs so that’s where I’ll put them as I continue through the series.
I forgot how incredibly dumb this show was or maybe it's just because I was a kid.
Oh, it was pretty dumb. But it wasn't supposed to be high art. It was always meant to just give us something fun to watch, and that goal was definitely achieved.
