    Hi,
    I have this milwaukee cordless air compressor and it's great for those smaller nail gun projects. Also works great installing hardwood floors.
    Yes, it's quite and the microphone on the videos doesn't do justice.
    Had to use it on a outdoor fence project where i would have to roll out a 100 ft plus extension cord from the house. Plus a small bedroom hardwood floor install and this unit came very handy and it already paid itself off.
    People need to understand when you are in the construction field these tools make you money and should be paying itself off. Don't get me wrong. It's great if your DIY or small shop project but you won't see your return fast enough or even at all.
    So be aware if you really want to spend money on a tools like this. Make sure it's just not for cool factor. Make sure it's making you money. Or purchase a corder version and you still be fine.
    Just my thoughts.

      I use mine for hog ringing fence where a normal air compressor won't go or where Labor over the corded one is saved. It is great for that. Everything else is a handy extra, be it cleaning hepa filters or hard to get places,

    I just bought one for on the farm, I burnt out my m12 compresser from excessive use and loved it so much I had to buy the m18, your video does not do it justice on how quiet it is, its impressively quiet. I wonder if I could change the 105psi start up to somthing higher? We will see lol. Great review!!

      I tried adjusting the pressure regulator to max to see if that affected the cycle-on pressure, but it didn't seem to. I wonder if there's a potentiometer somewhere that can be adjusted...

    I already have to Port cable Brad nailers finish nailers would it be better do upgrade do cordless nail guns or by the compressor these guns are around 15 years old or more and thank you for the time you put this videos out cheers with a beer

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      EDIT: Wait, I think I read that as you having a full set of nailers. If you just have two, then I'd go with cordless nailers for the replacements.
      ORIGINAL COMMENT:
      Hmm, that's a tough call. Normally I'd say go for the compressor, but 15 years is getting up there and complicates the decision a little. Do you use all the nailers regularly, or is there one you mainly use most of the time? If you mainly use just one, I think I'd go with just a cordless model of that one. Otherwise I'd go for the compressor.

  • @Jcasta8
    @Jcasta8 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Has anybody that owns the cordless air compressor filled a 5 gallon or 15 gallon tank with it?
    I know this is not what it is meant for but I'm wondering how long it takes to fill it.
    My real world application would be filling my bait cannon at the beach and this would save me from having to haul a compressor and generator. I already tried the m12 inflator and it overheats after 20mins and tops out at 65psi

    As always, very thorough and informative review thank you! I own the Dewalt Flexvolt 2.5G Cordless Compressor, you do as well. How does the Milwaukee compare overall? Would you buy the Milwaukee if you have the Dewalt because it’s so much better is what I’m saying. Thanks again!

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the DeWalt Flexvolt as well. The Milwaukee is so much quieter, which makes a huge difference when using it inside. It's also 50% heavier though. Both performed about the same, but the DeWalt has better runtime.
      I think the choice comes down to individual use case for which is better. Personally I prefer the Milwaukee, but I don't know if I'd pull the trigger on buying one if I already had the DeWalt unless I was trying to consolidate battery platforms.

    • @treebossmike8818
      @treebossmike8818 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doresoom Tool Reviews thank you! I’m probably going to buy the Milwaukee based strictly on the fact it’s that much quieter! I’ve got plenty of batteries, both Milwaukee and Dewalt, but that’s the only issue I have with the Flexvolt compressor is how loud it is! It’s teeth rattling loud! Works great and all, just loud! Thanks again dude!

    Can I use this for my impact wrench when installing tires?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not. Check the CFM requirements of your impact wrench. If it's above 1.2 CFM (it almost definitely is) then you will quickly run out of air.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For use with an air blow gun? It doesn't have a high enough CFM rating or a big enough tank for that application, no matter what battery you use with it.

      Maybe for a quick burst, but that small tank will have the compressor running continuously.

    All the power tools I currently own are all milwaukee m12 and m18 tools with the exception of one wich is the dewalt flexvolt compressor.
    At the time when I bought the dewalt flexvolt compressor milwaukee didn't have one. That's why I bought the dewalt.
    Maybe you can do a comparison of both the dewalt and milwaukee compressor on a future video.

      I reviewed the DeWalt a while back too. As far as the main differences:

    Would that be enough to set a car tire bead?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried to do so myself, but I have my doubts since this has a fairly small tank and low maximum CFM output. Maybe if you used a ratchet strap around the circumference to get the bead up against the flange first.

    Will this work for roof nails

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at a fast pace - probably about as well as the framing nailer I showed in the video. If you have to do more than a few at a time, you'll end up waiting for the compressor to refill due to the small tank and 1.2 CFM output. Check your nailer requirements, I think my framing nailer is 2.4 CFM.

      I'm a little confused why we're having this conversation here and not on the Ryobi video?
      - Check for blockages in the impeller housing.
      - Are you running the pump dry?

    Can it be used to shoot texture?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not. Check the airflow requirements on your texture gun - it's probably at least double the 1.2 CFM @ 90 PSI that this compressor can supply.

    Can this run a plasma cutter?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. It's 1.2 CFM at 90 PSI. Looks like most plasma cutters require 4+ CFM. And with such a small tank, it won't even be able to do even short durations for that use.
