I don’t have a Time Micro. For some reason, I’ve just never been interested in what they make. Mainly bcs there’s always other brands that make them better. The Divo might be the only exception (in diecast that is).
That being said, I dont see any particular problem with this. Yes, they’re not licensed, but so are a lot of resin brands which I love. As far as realistic liveries, they’re models cars. Why not have fun with it and run wild? If you dont like a certain livery/car combination, don’t get it. But I dont think you should condemn them for doing the wild and weird stuff. That’s what makes 1/64 scale fun! I mean, just look at all the ridiculous cars that Hotwheels makes. The VW Drag Bus doesnt exist but it’s cool as heck to collect. I understand if it’s not your cup of tea, it isnt mine either. But in a time where we’ve got 50 different brands in the market, originality and identity is important. And Time Micro’s identity is basically “we make liveries of anything remotely popular” lol. Which is fine by me if it means there are people who get a kick out of collecting them

I have a few TimeMicro, some are nice, some are okay and some others are just a hard pass. The LB-Silhouette GT-R is bulky, fat, looks a bit out of proportion; same with the Pandem Supra, it looks like it could go off-road. MINI GT did a much better job with those 2 models and for a better price too.
The Toyota AE86 Trueno is decent enough, I have the Initial D release, which now I'm realizing it may not be licensed at all. The Mazda RX-7 has some issues, could be better.
Bugatti Divo and BMW M4 are examples of actually good models, those are great! And the Divo has Bburago in the packaging, that means it is licensed I guess.
Also, some RWBs are hit & miss, depending on the model.

I keep seeing people say " don't buy X brand because it's not licensed " .Yes licensing is a good thing for the most part but these brands aren't trying to pass off as officially licensed and have super low production runs . Further if you claim it harms legit brands then maybe legit brands need to step their game up. The street weapon skyline silhouette was just better than the Inno resin one ( i owned both, sold the inno ) and cost HALF the price . And no It doesn't cost INNO that much to make that car because the Silvia silhouette from Mini Gt is ten bucks and even if the Inno had double the details, shouldn't be SIXTY dollars Plus some "bootlegs" cost more than legit brands and have more detail ( micro turbo miata / MR2 > everything else ) . Pretty sure Micro turbo is not licensed . Further if a company is based in china / hong kong don't even dare give me lip about copyright, the people who run that business probably acquired funding from companies who were FOUNDED on copyright/ trademark infringement . How many " legit" brands started off making knock offs. Geely motors comes to mind! The ONE THING I personally do not tolerate is bootlegs , EG FAKE mini GT, Fake INNO , Fake tarmac, they do indeed exist and that DOES harm a company , but non licensed cars are their own thing. Getting mad about it is silly, No one is going to give you a reward for buying licensed only. Let the brand defend itself , Ferrari is strict about it, Nissan doesn't seem to be.

This is not what I would go for when critiquing Time Micro - while their relationship with licensing is indeed fast and loose at best, they have weirder stuff going on like attempting to pass off concept art and renderings as final products, with figure and dioramas being especially egregious.
They are also firmly dug in behind the Great Firewall like 404model etc and don't seem interested in "jumping over the wall" like some other makers do, so that's why they don't have a significant Western social media presence.
