Yes, the box was way bigger than I expected! I ordered it on Amazon and I didn't realize how large it was until it arrived. Surprisingly, we still ate the whole box in a couple of days. 😂
Nice taste test, you guys are great together! This Merci chocolate assortment is a go-to present here in Germany whenever you want to to say Merci / thank you in a tasteful way (but without going over the top). For example, today i got a small box of them (the boxes come in various sizes) by my neighbor, because i've cleaned the stairwell for her in our apartment building when she was busy with her kids. And then i got curious what other people think of them and found your video. Criminally underrated video after a month, but that's the TH-cam algorithm for you, way too much competition out there. So you basically have to become lucky one day for a video to be picked up by the algorithm and pull in some viewers. You should have all the ingredients for it, plus you could be the stand-in for Nicole Scherzinger, which doesn't hurt. So, best of luck!
First, I just want to take a moment to let you know how much your comment means to me! My mom and I usually post these food review videos every Monday. Due to a family emergency, yesterday was the first time we've had to miss an upload in about 25 weeks. I was feeling a bit down today, given the circumstances, but your comment cheered me up and it made me look forward to working hard on the channel again next week. ☺️💕 I also loved the story of how you found the video! Merci was like a hidden gem to us. However, it makes perfect sense that it would be the go-to gift when you want to show a little extra appreciation for someone. I will definitely adopt that custom into my life! Thank you again for taking the time to watch the video as well as for your kind words of encouragement! 🤗 Oh! Which German snack would you recommend? We've enjoyed trying international treats lately and I shouldn't miss this opportunity to receive an authentic recommendation! Haha
@@amyslittlebigworld I'm glad a simple comment cheered you up like this! With consistency and a bit of luck, results should come eventually. About German snacks, you mean sweets? Well let's see. Something that is equally great as Merci for a taste test is a chocolate called "Ritter Sport", with its 25 regular flavours and a bunch of seasonal flavours. It has a square shape. Everyone in Germany knows Ritter Sport, it's in every supermarket and quite popular. They have a mixed pack of it, called "Bunter Mix" (colorful mix), where you have 9 flavors in smaller squares. By the way, you open a Ritter Sport by "folding" it in the middle. It's effortless, and the package is designed to rip open cleanly if you do that. Some other favorites would be: Hanuta, Duplo, Kinder Schokolade, Kinder Bueno, Kinder Riegel, Milka, Yogurette, Haribo, nimm2, Maoam, Knoppers, Prinzen Rolle, and last but not least, Super Dickmann's (yup, it's called that, and it's nothing weird in German 😅).
Awesome! I really appreciate your recommendations. Our local stores sell Kinder and Haribo, but the other sweets brands are completely new to me! I've added them to our list of products to try eventually. We plan to review your first recommendation soon. I was able to find the Ritter Sport Bunter Mix online. We just have to wait for it to be shipped here. I'm super excited to try it when it arrives!!!! 😆
That is a MEGA box of chocolates! Whenever I get a craving for chocolate, I hope I find some of those 😋
