I really like this idea of Ben’s all the hires seem to be or have the Bears players in mind. Not just hire a bunch of coaches, they all have their own personalities or positions in mind as well. BearDown
The offensive coordinator was named Declan Doyle, he has less experience and is younger then JT Barrett but it doesn’t matter because Johnson will be so involved
I’m thinking Ben wants to mold his own offensive system without having too many chefs in the kitchen. It’s probably a good thing, but a more experienced QB coach might have been able to speak into the more technical aspects of quarterbacking, so I guess we will see how things go. There are other experts these guys can work with outside of the actual coaching staff too. Doyle was a little surprising, but rumor has it is a young genius…
Dennis Allen connection goes back to NO. He was a secondary coach with Campbell and Aaron Glenn on that staff. That’s where the recommendation came from per rumors

C Ben said the OC role is to put together the game plan for each week, look at the tape of opponents and put plays on the weekly game plan, Ben would then review it at the end of the week and make adjustments then call plays on Sunday

@17:00... There's no way Doyle should be hired away as a HC. in a few years.
Doyle has less overall experience than Barrett.
OC hire is pretty weak. Bj might as well have hired his nephew.
